Renko charting

The Renko chart is only concerned with price movement. A new brick appears when price surpasses the top or bottom of the previous brick by a predefined amount.

  • Brick size - size of the bricks;
  • Offset - offset of every added brick, setting this to half the brick size creates so called 'mean Renko bars', such as seen in the second screenshot;
  • Amount shifted - amount of bars shifted left when a new brick appears, and amount of bars shifted right when a new main chart candle appears. Lowering this number can reduce testing times when used in Expert Advisors.
