The MT4 Strategy Builder and MT5 Strategy Builder ('StratBuilder') utilities are order management tools, developed to aid traders in designing their own unique
automated grid trading strategies

Sample strategies are supplied however and trading on your account can be automated within minutes, by applying one of these semi-automated sample strategies

STRATBUILDER SAMPLE STRATEGY 1 (basic - using limited controls)


Sample strategy 1 is a basic, but effective grid trading strategy, as only limited controls

(from the extensive menu of order management controls) are applied

[both a bi-directional and one-directional version of this sample strategy are supplied] 


Parameter .set files have been optimised for the specific trading conditions listed below:  


CURRENCY PAIRS

 One-directional sample strategy   *updated 17 Apr '24

 NOTE: Trader needs to set direction of trade to LONG OR SHORT (input # 9)         

Parameter values were optimised for the following trading conditions:  

  • 3 digits for the USDJPY & 5 digits for the EURUSD
  • 400:1 leverage

The one-directional sample strategy .set file with optimised parameter values for the  USDJPY  pair, can be downloaded from here

The one-directional sample strategy .set file with optimised parameter values for the  EURUSD  pair, can be downloaded from here

Run (back-test) this strategy for the USDJPY pair, setting the direction of trade to:

  • LONG for the period 7-17 Aug '23
    •
  • LONG for the period 2-28 Feb '24
  • SHORT for the period 28 Feb -7 March '24
    ....for on-screen validation (based on actual data), of how well this strategy performs!
