UT Dual-Engine Horizon
The UT Dual-Engine Horizon is an advanced, multi-layered trend-following and momentum execution system designed for the MetaTrader 4 platform. Inspired by modern quantitative trading strategies that separate market structural analysis from immediate entry execution, this indicator runs two independent Average True Range (ATR) calculation engines concurrently alongside a customizable macro-trend filter.
By linking these components into a unified hierarchy, the system filters out market noise, restricts counter-trend trading, and isolates reliable algorithmic entries across all timeframes.
Core Architecture & Mechanics
1. Engine 1: The Horizon Anchor
Engine 1 establishes the master structural direction of the market. Working as a macro volatility tracking engine, it defines whether the medium-to-long term market condition is technically in a structural "Buy State" or "Sell State."
-
Plots standard Green (Buy) and Red (Sell) structural arrows.
2. Engine 2: The Dependent Execution Wave
Engine 2 is a high-sensitivity tactical entry tool that calculates local price expansions. Unlike traditional indicators that operate in isolation, Engine 2's execution logic is strictly bound to Engine 1's horizon state:
-
Conditional Buy Arrows (Dark Orange): Can only print if Engine 2 triggers a buy momentum expansion while Engine 1 is already locked into a structural Buy State.
-
Conditional Sell Arrows (Magenta): Can only print if Engine 2 triggers a short momentum expansion while Engine 1 is already locked into a structural Sell State.
-
This dependency prevents the indicator from generating whip-saw signals during structural transitions or local counter-trend corrections.
3. Macro Trend Filtering Matrix
To ensure you stay on the right side of the institutional market, both engines are filtered by a dynamic moving average baseline. Signals are omitted if price action is trading below the baseline for buys, or above the baseline for sells. Users can instantly switch between 5 moving average types via the inputs: Simple (SMA), Exponential (EMA), Smoothed (SMMA), Linear Weighted (LWMA), or an ultra-low lag Hull Moving Average (HMA).
Key Features
-
Independent Engine Calibration: Fine-tune both engines individually using unique sensitivity multipliers and ATR lookback periods to perfectly align with your asset's volatility profile.
-
Heikin-Ashi Integration Toggle: Smooth out erratic candle noise by choosing to calculate either or both engines using raw close data or smoothed Heikin-Ashi candlestick metrics.
-
Professional Grade Coding: Built with dynamic array resizing and dynamic heap protection, ensuring flawless real-time rendering and rapid historical backtesting without chart freezing.
-
Triple-Alert Notification Network: Real-time trade notifications can be fully customized using native MT4 Desktop Pop-up alerts, Mobile Device Push Notifications, or Direct Email integration.
Upgrade Your Trading Horizon Today
Stop guessing where the structural trend ends and the noise begins. By combining micro-momentum execution with macro-structural security, the UT Dual-Engine Horizon does the heavy quantitative filtering for you—leaving you to focus entirely on flawless trade execution.
This is a stand alone trading tool. Once the direction appears, wait for the entry arrow to take your trade. Use the ATR line to trail your trade.
I wish you all the best.
