Versatility of French Wire

Being a fashion designer it’s my job to make trendy and glamorous designs. The work that is now in fashion is Zardosi work. You can see it in traditional dresses, Indo-western dresses, and western dresses. Zardosi is a beautiful embroidery art work and now it is done in some parts of India. This work got its popularity during the Mughal period. Back then it was done using real gold and real silver French wire. However, now copper, iron and aluminum French wires are used to do this embroidery.

Zardosi Embroidery on Lehnga

Mostly, this embroidery is done on Lehengas. Lehenga is a traditional Indian dress that bride wear while she gets married. Lehnga is decorated and adorned with mesmerizing zardozi work by French Wire, and Bullion Wire. Mostly gold French wire and silver French wire is used to do embroidery work as these colours are really prominent and look most beautiful.

Use of French Wire in making Jewellery

The most important use of French Wire for making jewellery is at the clasp. French wire protects the thread from deteriorating at the clasp. Moreover, French wire gives amazing professional like to the jewellery. I sometimes use DNA structure French wire with beads in the jewellery as it gives charming look to my jewellery item.
