Overview
London Pullback Trading System is a professional session-based trading indicator designed to help traders identify key market structure levels, monitor London session activity, and locate high-probability pullback opportunities using Moving Average and London Zone confluence.
The indicator automatically plots session high and low levels, displays a dynamic London trading zone, and draws a moving average that is visible only on the current trading day. It is specifically optimized for traders who focus on the London Session and prefer entering on pullbacks rather than chasing breakouts.
Features
Session Range Detection
The indicator identifies and plots important trading session levels for:
- Asian Session
- London Session
- New York Session
Users can choose which sessions to display through the built-in session mode selector.
Session High and Low Levels
For each selected session, the indicator automatically draws:
- Session High Line
- Session Low Line
These levels extend throughout the trading day and can be used as potential support, resistance, liquidity, breakout, or reaction zones.
London Dynamic Zone
The London session range is displayed as a shaded zone that automatically updates throughout the day.
The zone can dynamically change color based on current market conditions:
- Base Color – Neutral market state
- Bull Color – Price trading above the London opening price
- Bear Color – Price trading below the London opening price
This provides an instant visual representation of London session sentiment and directional bias.
Today-Only Moving Average
A fully customizable Moving Average is displayed only on the current trading day.
Supported Moving Average types:
- Simple Moving Average (SMA)
- Exponential Moving Average (EMA)
- Smoothed Moving Average (SMMA)
- Linear Weighted Moving Average (LWMA)
Displaying the Moving Average only for the current day helps reduce chart clutter while keeping traders focused on today's market conditions.
Trading Methodology
This indicator is specifically designed around London Session trading.
Rather than chasing breakouts after price has already moved significantly, traders are encouraged to wait for price to retrace back into the London Zone before looking for entries.
The indicator is built around the concept that institutional traders often accumulate or distribute positions during pullbacks into key session areas rather than at extended market extremes.
Core Trading Concept
The highest-probability setup occurs when the following three factors align:
Moving Average + London Zone + Price
The strongest trading opportunities occur when:
- Price retraces into the London Zone
- Price interacts with the current day's Moving Average
- The Moving Average and London Zone converge in the same area
This creates a powerful confluence zone where:
- Session structure is respected
- Trend direction is confirmed
- Entries are taken at areas of value
- Risk-to-reward potential is improved
High-Probability Bullish Setup
- Price is trading above the Moving Average
- London Zone is displaying bullish conditions
- Price pulls back into the London Zone
- Price reacts positively from the Moving Average
- Traders look for continuation opportunities in the direction of the trend
High-Probability Bearish Setup
- Price is trading below the Moving Average
- London Zone is displaying bearish conditions
- Price retraces into the London Zone
- Price rejects from the Moving Average area
- Traders look for continuation opportunities in the direction of the trend
Trading Philosophy
The indicator follows a simple but powerful workflow:
Trend → Pullback → Confluence → Entry
Instead of entering after large impulsive moves, traders wait for price to revisit the London Zone and align with the Moving Average before considering an entry.
This approach emphasizes:
- Patience
- Market structure
- Trend alignment
- Confluence-based decision making
- Institutional-style execution
Recommended Workflow
- Identify the active London Zone.
- Determine whether price is above or below the Moving Average.
- Wait for price to retrace into the London Zone.
- Look for confluence between:
- Price
- London Zone
- Moving Average
- Enter in the direction of the prevailing trend once confirmation is present.
