Automatically detect the rare and powerful Cypher harmonic pattern across 20 symbols and 9 timeframes — with Fibonacci-validated, non-repainting signals delivered straight to your chart and mobile device.
What Is the Cypher Pattern
The Cypher is a 5-point XABCD harmonic structure that identifies high-probability price reversal zones using strict Fibonacci relationships. What makes the Cypher unique among all harmonic patterns is that Point C must extend 127.2%–141.4% beyond the XA leg — meaning C actually moves past Point A before price reverses. This creates a powerful overshoot structure with clearly defined reversal zones.
Point D then retraces 78.6% of the entire XC leg to complete the pattern. Because D stays within bounds — above X for bullish setups, below X for bearish — the Cypher allows for tighter stop placement than most other harmonic patterns, resulting in superior risk-reward ratios.
The Cypher is rare precisely because the criteria are strict. That rarity is an advantage: every signal you see has already passed rigorous Fibonacci validation.

What This Indicator Does
The Cypher Harmonic Dashboard is a multi-symbol, multi-timeframe scanner that detects Cypher patterns automatically — eliminating hours of manual chart analysis. It uses swing pivot detection to identify candidate XABCD structures, then validates each one against the full set of Fibonacci ratios before displaying anything in the dashboard.
XAB Retracement — Point B must retrace between 38.2% and 61.8% of the XA leg.
ABC Extension — Point C must extend 127.2%–141.4% of XA. This is the critical Cypher requirement. C goes past A. The indicator validates this on every single pattern.
XCD Retracement — Point D must retrace exactly 78.6% of the entire XC leg to complete the pattern.
If any of these ratios falls outside the valid range, the pattern is not shown. Only TRUE Cypher patterns appear in the dashboard.
Key Features
Non-Repainting Signals — Patterns only appear after Point D is confirmed on a closed candle with the required number of pivot bars to the right. Once a Cypher pattern appears on your chart, it will never disappear or change. This makes the indicator safe for live trading analysis and historical review.
Multi-Symbol Dashboard — Monitor up to 20 instruments simultaneously from a single panel. Works on any symbol available in your MetaTrader terminal — Forex pairs, Gold (XAUUSD), Silver, Indices such as US30 and NAS100, Cryptocurrencies, and Commodities. Broker symbol prefixes and suffixes such as EURUSD.pro or EURUSDm are supported automatically.
9 Timeframe Coverage — Scans M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1, and MN simultaneously. Every enabled symbol and timeframe is monitored continuously in the background without any manual effort.
Strict Fibonacci Validation — The C extension check (127.2%–141.4% of XA) is the defining feature of the Cypher and the most commonly missed requirement in other indicators. This dashboard enforces it on every pattern, which dramatically improves signal quality and eliminates false Cypher detections.
Visual Pattern Display — When a Cypher completes, the full XABCD structure is drawn on the chart with yellow-filled triangles connecting all five points. Each pivot is clearly labelled X, A, B, C, D for immediate visual confirmation.
One-Click Chart Navigation — Click any row in the dashboard to instantly jump to that symbol and timeframe. The chart switches automatically and the pattern is displayed, ready for analysis.
4 Alert Types — Receive alerts via on-screen popup, customisable sound file, email notification, and mobile push notification via MetaQuotes ID. Any combination can be enabled independently so you are notified wherever you are when a Cypher pattern completes.
Fully Customisable Parameters — All Fibonacci ratios are adjustable. You can modify the XAB range, ABC extension range, XCD ratio, and tolerance values to match your personal trading preferences. The default values follow classical Cypher specifications and work well across most instruments and timeframes.

Input Parameters
Symbols — Comma-separated list of instruments to monitor (up to 20)
Timeframes — Enable or disable M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1, MN individually
Pivot Right Bars — Number of confirmed bars to the right of Point D required before the pattern is shown (default 5). Higher values increase confirmation, lower values show patterns sooner.
Pivot Left Bars — Number of bars to the left used for swing high/low detection
XAB Min / Max — Fibonacci retracement range for Point B (default 38.2%–61.8%)
ABC Min / Max — Fibonacci extension range for Point C (default 127.2%–141.4%)
XCD Ratio — Retracement ratio for Point D on the XC leg (default 78.6%)
Fibonacci Tolerance — Allowable deviation from exact ratios for each measurement point
Popup Alerts — Enable or disable on-screen notifications
Sound Alerts — Enable or disable audio notifications with customisable sound file
Email Alerts — Enable or disable email notifications
Push Alerts — Enable or disable mobile push notifications via MetaQuotes ID
Dashboard Corner — Position the dashboard panel in any corner of the chart

How to Trade the Cypher
Entry — Enter at Point D when price shows a reversal signal confirming the completion zone. A supporting candlestick pattern or momentum divergence at D increases confidence.
Stop Loss — Place the stop beyond Point X. For bullish Cypher patterns, the stop goes below X. For bearish patterns, the stop goes above X. Because D stays within bounds in the Cypher structure, this placement is tighter than in Butterfly patterns.
Targets — The standard Cypher targets are the 38.2% retracement of the CD leg for Target 1 and the 61.8% retracement of the CD leg for Target 2. Some traders also use Point C as a final target on strong moves.
Who This Indicator Is For
Harmonic traders already working with Gartley, Butterfly, or Bat patterns who want to add the Cypher to their repertoire without spending hours on manual scanning.
Multi-pair traders who monitor Forex, Gold, Indices, or Crypto across multiple symbols and need a single dashboard to track everything without switching between charts.
Part-time traders who cannot monitor charts full time. Mobile push alerts catch every Cypher completion in real time, allowing you to review and act during available windows.
System developers building harmonic trading strategies who need non-repainting, historically consistent signals confirmed on closed candles as a reliable foundation for rule-based backtesting.
Precision traders who want only high-quality setups with validated Fibonacci ratios — not loosely drawn patterns that do not meet proper Cypher criteria.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the indicator repaint?
No. All patterns require Point D to be confirmed by a set number of closed candles to the right before appearing. Once visible, a pattern will never move, change, or disappear. It is completely reliable for both live trading and historical analysis.
Why do I see fewer signals than with other harmonic indicators?
The Cypher is inherently rare because the criteria are strict — particularly the C extension requirement of 127.2%–141.4% of XA. This rarity is intentional. Fewer signals means higher quality signals. If an indicator is showing you dozens of Cyphers per day, it is almost certainly not enforcing the C extension rule correctly.
What markets does it work on?
Any market available in MetaTrader with sufficient price history — Forex pairs, XAUUSD, Silver, US30, NAS100, Crypto, and all other available instruments. Enter the symbol name exactly as it appears in your Market Watch.
Can I adjust the Fibonacci ratios?
Yes. All ratio parameters including XAB range, ABC extension range, XCD ratio, and tolerance values are fully adjustable in the indicator settings.
How do I set up mobile alerts?
Enable Push Alerts in the indicator settings, then add your MetaQuotes ID in the Notifications tab under MetaTrader Options. Step-by-step setup instructions are included in the user guide.
Does it work with broker symbol naming variations?
Yes. The indicator handles custom prefixes and suffixes automatically. EURUSD, EURUSD.pro, EURUSDm, and similar broker-specific naming conventions are all recognised without any manual configuration.
Are future updates included?
Yes. All future updates are delivered to you permanently at no additional cost.
