Regular Bullish Divergence
Price makes a lower low, but the oscillator makes a higher low. Bearish momentum is weakening — signalling a potential reversal UP.

Regular Bearish Divergence
Price makes a higher high, but the oscillator makes a lower high. Bullish momentum is fading — signalling a potential reversal DOWN.

Hidden Bullish Divergence
Price makes a higher low, but the oscillator makes a lower low. This reveals hidden strength in the uptrend — the pullback is a buying opportunity with trend continuation UP.

Hidden Bearish Divergence
Price makes a lower high, but the oscillator makes a higher high. This reveals hidden weakness in the downtrend — the rally is a selling opportunity with trend continuation DOWN.

Regular divergence catches reversals at exhaustion points. Hidden divergence catches pullback entries in trending markets. Together they cover both reversal AND continuation setups — in any market condition.

Choose From 10 Oscillators

Each oscillator detects divergence differently. Pick the one that matches your strategy:

• RSI (14) — The most popular choice. Reversal signals at overbought/oversold extremes are among the highest-probability setups in trading

• MACD (12,26,9) — Tracks momentum trend direction and strength. MACD divergences often signal major reversals before they appear on price

• MACD Histogram — Appears even earlier than MACD line divergences, giving advance warning of reversals

• Stochastic (14,3,3) — Highly reliable signals in extreme zones (above 80 or below 20)

• CCI (10) — Identifies cyclical turning points and trend exhaustion in trending markets

• Momentum (10) — The purest measure of price velocity. Reveals when a trend is losing steam

• OBV (On Balance Volume) — When OBV diverges from price, it signals smart money positioning before a reversal

• Volume-Weighted MACD — Divergences carry extra conviction because volume confirms the momentum shift

• Chaikin Money Flow (21) — Reveals when buying or selling pressure is drying up — a precursor to reversals

• MFI (14) — Often called the volume-weighted RSI divergence and considered more reliable than RSI alone
