FX Avalanche EA is a professional automated grid trading system offering four distinct strategies - RSI, Moving Average Crossover, Hedging, and Manual - combined with an adaptive grid engine, drawdown recovery, and live news filtering. Version 2.0 is a complete risk overhaul: the same proven engine now sits behind an always-on hard protection layer and ships with ready-made optimized presets for the major pairs and gold.
The EA generates entry signals using RSI overbought/oversold levels or MA crossover confirmation depending on the selected strategy mode. Once a position is open, the adaptive grid builds additional orders at configurable distances with a gentler lot progression, while the DD Recovery engine peels off the highest-loss and highest-profit order pairs when their combined result turns positive. A built-in live News Filter fetches the ForexFactory economic calendar via WebRequest and pauses trading around high-impact events.

INCLUDED OPTIMIZED PRESETS
Ready-to-load .set files, optimized on one year of M15 history at a $5,000 starting balance for the best return under a hard drawdown budget. Presets are tuned SEPARATELY for each platform because the MT4 and MT5 tester engines fill a grid strategy differently - you get a set matched to your platform.

RISK CONTROLS
- Per-Basket Equity Stop (NEW): equityStopPercent closes a losing side at a % of equity floating loss
- Account Max-DD Failsafe (NEW): maxDDPercent closes all and halts trading at a drawdown limit (default 15%)
- Re-Entry Cooldown (NEW): cooldownMinutes locks a side out after a loss cut
- Total Exposure Cap (NEW): maxTotalLots ceilings summed open lots
- Optional Hard Stop-Loss (NEW): hardSLPips per order (0 = off)
- Equity-Based Loss Cut: measured against equity, ON by default (percent mode)
- Max Trades Per Side: tradeLimit caps open orders per direction (default 8)

RECOMMENDATIONS
- Load the included preset for your pair (Inputs tab > Load) - it already has the full risk core switched on
- Use an ECN broker with low spreads; a hedging account for the FX presets
- Run on a VPS for uninterrupted 24/5 operation
- Start on demo for 2-4 weeks before going live
- Match strategy to risk tolerance - RSI for conservative, MA for moderate, HED for aggressive
- Enable the News Filter and add the ForexFactory URL to allowed WebRequest addresses
- Use a unique Magic Number for each chart instance when running multiple pairs
WHAT THIS EA DOES NOT DO
- No unlimited grid - tradeLimit and maxTotalLots hard-cap exposure
- No unlimited losses - the equity stop, drawdown failsafe, and loss cut all realize losses and can halt trading
- No hidden logic - all parameters are exposed and configurable
- No dependency on external indicators - all signal calculations are performed internally
