Apex Break PRO is a non-repainting pivot trendline breakout indicator for MetaTrader 5. It detects pivot highs and pivot lows, draws dynamic sloped trendlines between consecutive pivots, and generates buy and sell signals when price breaks through those trendlines on a confirmed bar close. Every signal is filtered through up to four independent confluence layers — EMA trend, RSI boundaries, volume spike detection, and ADX trend strength — and rated with a star system so traders can immediately see how many conditions aligned. ATR-based stop-loss and three take-profit levels provide structured risk management for each signal, while a real-time dashboard displays direction, filter status, and trade level tracking with hit checkmarks.

How It Works
Pivot Trendline Engine
The indicator scans the chart for pivot highs and pivot lows using a configurable lookback window (default: 20 bars left, 20 bars right). When two or more consecutive pivot highs are found, a sloped resistance trendline is drawn connecting them and extended forward up to 500 bars. The same process creates support trendlines from consecutive pivot lows. Up to five resistance lines and five support lines can be displayed simultaneously, with older lines removed as new pivots form. Line width and transparency are adjustable inputs. A breakout signal fires when the close of a confirmed bar crosses above a resistance trendline (buy) or below a support trendline (sell).
Confluence Scoring and Star Ratings
Raw breakout signals are passed through up to four independent filters before the indicator draws an arrow:
- EMA Filter (default: 200-period EMA) — buy signals require price above the EMA; sell signals require price below
- Volume Filter — the current bar's volume must exceed the 20-bar average multiplied by the volume multiplier (default: 1.2x)
- RSI Filter (default: 14-period RSI) — buy signals require RSI below the overbought threshold (75); sell signals require RSI above the oversold threshold (25)
- ADX Filter (default: disabled) — when enabled, signals require the 14-period ADX to be above the threshold (20.0), confirming a trending market
Each passing filter adds one point to the confluence score. A minimum score (default: 2) is required before the signal is drawn. The score is displayed as a star rating next to the signal label — for example, three stars out of three active filters appears as "*.. (3/3)". Traders can enable or disable each filter and adjust the minimum confluence threshold to match their preferred strictness level.
ATR-Based Risk Management
When a signal fires, the indicator calculates a stop-loss level using the ATR (default: 14-period) multiplied by the SL multiplier (default: 1.5x). Three take-profit levels are placed at risk-reward ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 relative to the stop-loss distance. Each level is drawn as a color-coded horizontal line with a filled zone between entry and the target price. As price reaches each TP or the SL, the dashboard marks the level with a hit checkmark. When price hits either the SL or TP3, the trade zone is considered closed and tracking stops.
Key Features
- Dynamic sloped trendlines drawn between consecutive pivot highs (resistance) and pivot lows (support)
- Non-repainting signal engine — breakout signals fire only on confirmed bar close
- 4-layer confluence filtering: EMA trend, RSI boundaries, volume spike, ADX strength
- Star rating system displaying confluence score (e.g., *.. (3/3)) next to each signal
- ATR-based stop-loss (1.5x ATR) with three take-profit levels at 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 risk-reward
- Color-coded TP/SL fill zones on the chart for visual risk-reward assessment
- TP/SL hit tracking with automatic closure on SL or TP3 hit
- Real-time dashboard showing direction, signal strength, filter pass/fail status, and trade level checkmarks
- Signal cooldown (default: 5 bars) to prevent duplicate signals in rapid succession
- Configurable breakout margin (0.1x ATR) to filter out marginal trendline touches
- 6 alert types: Buy, Sell, TP1 Hit, TP2 Hit, TP3 Hit, SL Hit — delivered via popup, sound, push notification, or email
- Works on all symbols and all timeframes
