Standard Deviation Channel - SDC Pro MT4

SDC Pro draws a linear regression channel with standard deviation bands on the price chart. It is a visual tool for reading trend direction, price structure, and how far price is stretched from its regression mean. The indicator works on any symbol and any timeframe.

The center line is a least-squares linear regression over a chosen number of bars. Two pairs of bands are placed around it at configurable multiples of the standard deviation: an inner band and an outer band. By default the deviation is measured from the regression line (residual deviation), so the channel stays close to price during a trend. A legacy mode that measures deviation from the price mean is also available.

The channel can be read from a higher timeframe while you work on a lower one, so a single chart can show both the local structure and the broader channel. The channel is extended a few bars to the right so the current band levels are easy to see next to price.

An information panel reports the channel timeframe, trend direction from the slope, the slope per bar, the standard deviation, and where the current price sits inside the channel as a percentage.

What it shows

• Linear regression midline over the selected number of bars.
• Inner and outer deviation bands with adjustable multipliers.
• Residual deviation mode (measured from the regression line) or legacy mean mode.
• Price source selectable: close, median (H+L)/2, or typical (H+L+C)/3.
• Multi-timeframe channel: read the channel from any timeframe.
• Forward projection of the channel by a set number of bars.
• Shaded upper and lower deviation zones, with an optional inner zone.
• Price labels for each band level on the right side of the chart.
• Information panel: timeframe, trend, slope per bar, standard deviation, position in channel.
• Option to hide the chart grid for a cleaner view.

How traders use it

• Read trend direction and steepness from the slope of the channel.
• Watch price behavior at the inner and outer bands as reference levels.
• Compare price against a higher-timeframe channel for context.
• Combine the channel with your own method and risk rules.

The channel is recalculated on every new bar, as is normal for a regression channel: the lines adjust as new price data arrives.
