VR Black Box is an automatic trading expert for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 that solves the main problem of every beginner: it relieves you of the eternal doubts of "buy or sell?" and itself maintains a continuous trading cycle. The robot does not guess the market — it always ends up on the side of its movement, while virtual "secret" levels, trailing stop and balance management protect your deposit better than the hands of the most attentive trader.

Detailed breakdown of the product's unique features
The main feature of VR Black Box is the combination of a trend principle with a flexible execution architecture. An ordinary trend robot answers one question: "buy or sell?". VR Black Box also answers the second, much more important one: how exactly to manage the position after entry. This is where beginners most often lose money, and this is where the robot takes care upon itself: it watches the volume, pulls up the stops, takes a pause after a failure and stops in time.
The trading direction is chosen with literally one parameter — five modes are available:
- Jointly Buying and Selling — buying and selling simultaneously (a hedging account is required);
- Alternately Buying and Selling — changing the side by the result of the last closed position;
- Accidental Purchase or Sale — a random choice of direction, the classic "heads or tails";
- Only Buy — trading only with buys;
- Only Sell — trading only with sells.
A unique capability that beginners especially often lack is manual mode (the MagicNumber parameter = 0). If you opened a trade yourself and it went into a loss, turn on the manual mode, and the robot will carefully start opening opposite positions, helping bring the loss to breakeven and then into profit. VR Black Box not only trades by itself, but also helps fix the mistakes of manual trading.
Special attention deserves the technology of virtual "secret" Take Profit and Stop Loss levels. In the Virtual Levels (Secret) mode, the advisor keeps the working closing levels in the terminal's memory without revealing them to the broker, leaving on the server only more distant backup Real levels. Your trading plans stay hidden, and the position is protected even in a connection break. Along with this works the trailing stop, which pulls the stop-loss in the wake of the price and locks in profit, not letting it slip away.
Capital protection is built directly into the advisor's logic. A pause after a loss — by time, by distance or by both conditions at once — does not let the robot "take revenge on the market" and enter again right after an unsuccessful trade. Balance management watches the total result of all positions (profit + swap + commission) and, when a set goal — positive or negative — is reached, closes everything at once, after which it either completely stops trading or starts a new cycle from a clean slate.
The volume is calculated separately for buys and for sells, so the two lines never interfere with each other. The starting lot is chosen from three methods: Fixed lot (a fixed volume), Percentage lot (a percentage of the balance) or The balance for the minimum lot (balance-based calculation). On top of that are applied Lot Multiplier (the lot multiplier) and Type of lot increase — increasing the volume after a loss (martingale) or after profit (anti-martingale). Commission and swap are taken into account in every calculation, and the instrument's minimum lot does not let the volume drop below the acceptable value. Finally, the advisor controls the spread and starts a new trade only on the new bar of the selected timeframe — unfavorable entries are cut off even before a position opens.
How the product works
The logic of VR Black Box is transparent and consistent, so the robot's behavior is easy to understand even for a beginner. On every tick, the advisor runs a single cycle: checks → volume calculation → entry → management → cycle close.
First, the checks are performed: whether the current spread is acceptable, whether a new bar of the selected timeframe has come, whether the pause after the last trade has been kept and whether the selected mode allows an entry. If at least one condition is not met, a new position is not opened — and this already protects your deposit. When everything is in order, the trading volume is calculated and it is determined which side of the market is needed right now.
After the entry, the robot moves to managing the position: Take Profit, Stop Loss, virtual levels (if the corresponding mode is enabled), the trailing stop and total balance control come into play. When the trade closes, its result is taken into account in the next volume calculation, if a multiplier is used — and the cycle starts anew.
At the same time, the advisor is built on a single modular library and treats the terminal's resources carefully: Bid and Ask prices are cached once per tick and reused by all modules, Take Profit and Stop Loss levels are modified only when a value actually changes, and the history is recalculated on a schedule rather than on every tick. At startup, the robot checks the account type and algorithmic trading permissions, monitors the connection with the trade server and keeps a log of disconnections, ping and server time. Less load — a faster response and more stable operation both in the strategy tester and on computers with limited resources.
Information about the author
VR Black Box was developed by Vladimir Pastushak — an experienced trader-programmer with more than 15 years of experience creating trading strategies and automatic robots for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. This is not a textbook example or a random script: the robot grew out of practice, out of the author's personal trading. Additionally, the strategy was verified by artificial intelligence, which helped identify and eliminate errors, refine the trading logic and make the robot's behavior more predictable. An experienced developer and verification by artificial intelligence — behind such a "team" the robot works more reliably.
Technical support and updates for buyers are provided free of charge. The author stays in touch through comments to the product and his blog, so the advisor develops with the real experience of users in mind, not apart from it.
You can try VR Black Box today: run the advisor in the strategy tester, then check it on a demo account, and find ready-made set files, the demo version, instructions and bonuses in the author's blog — the link is given at the top of this page. It is exactly this way, step by step, that you will get your first truly independent assistant in trading.
Risk warning
An honest warning: trading on financial markets always involves the risk of losing capital, and VR Black Box is no exception. No settings and no robot guarantee profit. Be especially careful with increasing the volume after a loss (martingale): such a model can sharply increase the load on the deposit and the depth of the drawdown. Virtual levels also do not remove the risk: with the terminal switched off or a lost connection, the local closing logic may not work as expected.
Strategy tester results do not promise similar results on a real account: commissions, swaps, spread, slippage, liquidity and broker conditions can significantly change the outcome. Therefore, the order of actions is mandatory: first the tester, then a demo account with the same account type, a similar symbol, spread and deposit, and only then — the minimum volume on a real account with a gradual increase as confidence grows.
