Pi Cycle Projections

Pi Cycle Projections is a technical analysis indicator for MetaTrader 5 that helps identify potential changes in market direction through moving average crossovers. When projections are enabled, it also displays potential price targets and estimated dates.

1. Pi Moving Average Signals

The indicator compares a fast moving average with a slow moving average calculated using the Pi multiplier. When the two averages cross on a closed candle, the indicator can generate a buy or sell signal, provided all enabled filter conditions are met.

It includes three optional filters, all disabled by default:

• ATR Filter: requires the price to be at a minimum distance from the slow moving average, based on the configured ATR period.

• ADX Filter: evaluates trend strength and, if directional validation is enabled, checks whether the direction aligns with the signal.

• Volume Filter: requires volume to exceed its recent average by the configured multiplier. By default, volume must be at least 2% above its average.

You can also set a fixed minimum distance in pips. A value of 0 disables this distance filter. Increasing it requires the price to meet that minimum distance even when the ATR filter is disabled. When both distance conditions are active, the stricter requirement applies.

2. Cycle Projections

This optional feature displays potential price targets and estimated dates based on the most recent valid crossover, meaning a crossover that meets all enabled filter conditions.

The indicator calculates each cycle's price target using volatility measured before the crossover, the cycle length in bars, and the configured maximum projection limit. Projections do not move with every price change; they are recalculated when a new valid crossover occurs.

If a crossover fails to meet the enabled filters, it does not generate a new signal, and the projections remain anchored to the most recent crossover that passed validation.

By default, the indicator displays up to three cycles, but you can configure between one and six according to your preferences. Each cycle can represent a different time horizon and price target.

These targets are potential scenarios, not guaranteed predictions. They are designed to help analyze possible market movements, not to promise that the price will reach those levels.

3. Information Panel

The panel displays useful information to help interpret the indicator, including:

• Moving average values.

• Distance between the moving averages in pips.

• Information about the most recent valid crossover.

• The status of filters and projections.

4. Customization and Alerts

You can customize colors, line thickness, arrow size, and signal positioning.

You can also enable on-screen alerts, mobile push notifications, or email notifications, depending on your settings.

How to Use It

1. Add the indicator to your MetaTrader 5 chart.

2. Observe the crossovers and signals generated when candles close.

3. Enable the filters you want to use to validate signals.

4. Enable projections if you want to view potential price targets and estimated dates.

5. Combine the indicator's information with your own market analysis and appropriate risk management.
