Why you need it
You enter a trade because a line turned green on your chart. Then you open a higher timeframe and see that the bigger trend points the other way. The signal was real. The trend behind it was not on your side.
Every trade taken against the bigger trend gives back the edge your entry had.
What you get
Fabii Half Trend Baseline puts the trend of your chart and the trend of a higher timeframe on one chart, so you stop switching windows to check the bigger picture.
- A second baseline from a higher timeframe, drawn behind the main one, so you see the bigger trend without opening another chart.
- A baseline that only moves with the trend and never steps back, so you see at a glance where the trend would break.
- Buy and Sell arrows on confirmed flips, so you get a clear marker at the moment the trend changes.
- Optional candle colors that follow the trend, so you read the trend directly from the candles.
- Alerts on trend switch and on higher timeframe switch, so you do not have to watch the chart.

How it works
The baseline is built from the average of the recent highs and lows. It holds its level and only moves in the direction of the trend. It flips only when price closes beyond the extreme of the previous bar and the averages confirm the break. Arrows appear after the bar closes, by default at a distance of one Average True Range (ATR) from the baseline. The optional higher timeframe baseline uses the same method on higher timeframe bars and is drawn as a thicker, softer line. The dotted section on the forming bar is provisional and is labeled as such. In a sideways range any trend line flips more often, and the higher timeframe baseline shows you when a flip goes against the bigger trend.
How to use it
- Attach the indicator to any chart.
- In HTF baseline, choose a timeframe higher than your chart, for example D1 on an H1 chart.
- Wait for an arrow in the same direction as the color of the higher timeframe baseline. That is your entry signal.
- When the baseline flips against your trade, that is your exit signal.
- Turn on popup, sound or push alerts in the settings (they are off by default), so you are told when the trend flips.

Other settings control colors, line widths, the opacity of the higher timeframe baseline and the sound file.
Test it before you decide
No repaint: let a bar close, then check that the value in the Data Window does not change. To test it: click Free Demo, then run it in the Strategy Tester in visual mode on your pair and timeframe.
