Trend BB MACD with ADX Filter

The Trend BB MACD with ADX Filter is an advanced technical tool that combines Bollinger Bands (BB), MACD, and the Average Directional Index (ADX). It now incorporates a complete directional analysis system with +DI and -DI, as well as cross-confirmation options with MACD. This tool is designed to provide precise and filtered trading signals, optimized for scalping, intraday, and swing trading. It helps identify not only the direction but also the strength and reliability of the trend.

Key Components

Bollinger Bands (BB)

BB Middle (Central Line): A simple moving average (SMA).
BB Upper / BB Lower: SMA ± (Standard Deviation × Multiplication Factor).
Full Customization: Adjustable colors, thickness, and line styles.

Hybrid Signal

This signal combines the MACD line (not the histogram) with the BB Middle, scaling its value to generate a dynamic signal.
Intelligent Color System:
- Green: Confirmed bullish momentum by ADX and +DI.
- Red: Confirmed bearish momentum by ADX and -DI.
- Yellow: Weak trend or conflict between indicators.

Advanced ADX Filter

Evaluates trend strength with an adjustable threshold (default: 20).
Includes buffers for +DI and -DI for more precise directional analysis.
ADX_Price option to select the price used for the calculation.
Require_MACD_Confirmation setting to require MACD confirmation in the same direction as the ADX before validating a signal.
Optimized Internal Logic:
- If ADX is above the threshold, it validates the direction using +DI/-DI.
- A yellow signal appears if the ADX indicates a weak trend or if there is a discrepancy between ADX and MACD.

How to Use It

Scalping / Intraday: Works on M1, M5, or M15 timeframes, avoiding sideways markets with the ADX filter and hybrid signal.
Swing Trading: Identifies sustained trends on H1, H4, or Daily charts, confirming BB breakouts with ADX support.
Combined Strategies: Functions as an ideal filter and confirmation tool alongside the GoGo Breaker indicator, price action, RSI, or moving averages.

Recommendations

Not a Standalone System: Combine it with volume analysis and key levels.
Adjust the ADX threshold based on the asset and volatility (20 is standard, 25-30 for more aggressive markets).
The yellow signal indicates caution: always confirm before entering a trade.
