SMC Structure Suite - Read Market Structure Without Drawing It Yourself
SMC Structure Suite marks the parts of price action that smart money methods are built on, and keeps them updated on every bar. Swing labels, structure breaks, order blocks, imbalances and liquidity sweeps are all derived from one swing engine, so the picture stays internally consistent instead of drifting apart the way hand drawn levels do.
Everything is anchored in time and price coordinates, so a zone stays exactly where you left it when you change timeframe, zoom or scroll.
WHAT IS MARKED ON THE CHART
Swing labels. Alternating swing highs and lows are confirmed once a configurable number of bars have formed on both sides, then labelled HH, HL, LH or LL by comparison with the previous swing of the same kind. A swing is never labelled from an unfinished bar.
Break of structure. When a candle closes beyond the last confirmed swing in the direction of the prevailing bias, the level is drawn and marked as a break of structure. This is continuation, not reversal.
Change of character. When the close breaks the last confirmed swing against the prevailing bias, it is marked as a change of character instead. This is the first structural evidence that control may be changing hands, and it is drawn in a separate colour so it is never confused with continuation.
Order blocks. After a structural break, the tool walks back to the last opposing candle before the impulse and marks that candle as an order block. A wick into the zone is a retest and does not invalidate it. Invalidation is a candle body close beyond the far side of the zone. A body close through a fresh order block flips it into a breaker; a body close through a breaker removes it.
Breaker blocks. When an order block fails and price closes fully through it, the block is not simply deleted. It flips side and is redrawn as a breaker, because a level that failed as support often becomes resistance.
Fair value gaps. A three candle imbalance where the wicks do not overlap is drawn as a gap zone. A minimum size expressed in ATR filters out noise. The zone is treated as filled, and removed by default, once price trades back into the gap.
Liquidity sweeps. A bar whose wick takes out a prior swing but whose body closes back on the original side is marked as a sweep, provided the wick makes up enough of the bar to be meaningful. The wick share is configurable.
MAIN INPUTS
Swing strength in bars each side and the number of bars analysed. Swing label mode: all labels, major swings only (default), or none. Order block display, maximum live blocks per side (default 3) and whether invalidated blocks are removed. Fair value gap display, maximum live gaps (default 3), minimum gap size 0.20 x ATR(14) by default, and whether filled gaps are removed. Breaker display, with breakers drawn as lines rather than filled boxes by default. Liquidity sweep display with a minimum wick percentage (sweeps off by default). Zone display: fill, show only zones within 2 ATR of price, older zones at about 50 percent opacity, and older zones stop at the next newer zone instead of stretching to the live bar. Separate colours for bullish structure, bearish structure, change of character, order blocks, breakers and gaps. Structure line width. Alerts for break of structure, change of character and liquidity sweep, each with popup, sound and push notification options. An on-chart legend can hide or show each layer. Hover a mark for a short explanation.
TRADING IDEAS
Wait for a change of character before considering a reversal. A break of structure in the direction you already favour tells you less than the first break against it.
Use an unmitigated order block in the direction of structure as an area to look for a reaction, rather than acting at the moment of the break itself.
Treat a fair value gap as a magnet and an obstacle at the same time. Price often returns to fill it, which can be an entry area or a reason to expect your target to be reached slowly.
A liquidity sweep immediately followed by a change of character is a common sequence at turning points. Either event alone is weaker than the pair.
When several unmitigated gaps and blocks stack in one area, that area tends to matter more than any single zone within it.
COMPATIBILITY
Works on any symbol and any timeframe. Analysis only: this indicator never sends, modifies or closes an order. Structure bias, break markers and sweep markers are published to indicator buffers so an Expert Advisor or another indicator can read them.
