Read Price Location With Three Adaptive Bands
KT Price Border plots three smooth bands directly on the chart to show where price is trading within a changing market envelope. The default colors make every reference easy to distinguish, and optional price tags display the current value of each band.
- Upper band: marks the upper boundary of the active price envelope.
- Middle band: provides a central trend and direction reference.
- Lower band: marks the lower boundary of the active price envelope.
Combine Trend Direction With Swing Context
When price holds above a rising middle band, the chart shows bullish directional context. When price remains below a falling middle band, the context is bearish. Moves toward the outer bands help you monitor stretched price location, pullbacks and possible swing areas within that broader direction.
Use the outer bands as dynamic chart references and compare each touch or cross with current price action and your preferred confirmation method. The indicator can alert you when a new band-cross event occurs.
Adjust the Envelope to Your Market
Half Length controls the smoothing window. Applied Price selects the price source, while ATR Period and ATR Multiplier control how the envelope responds to current volatility. These inputs let you adapt the band shape and width to your symbol, timeframe and chart style.
You can calculate the bands from the current chart or a selected timeframe, customize all three band colors, show or hide the live price tags and set the minimum alert frequency in minutes.
