Sniper Ashfield Pro is a non-repainting EMA-crossover indicator for MetaTrader 4 that solves the oldest problem in mechanical trading: a bare moving-average crossover whipsaws relentlessly because a trigger fired in isolation has no context. Sniper Ashfield Pro takes the classic EMA9/EMA21 crossover and puts it behind a six-factor confluence gate. Every crossover is scored against six independent market-state filters, and only crossovers that clear a configurable minimum score become BUY or SELL signals on the chart. On top of that gate sits a true session-anchored daily VWAP, an ATR-based stop loss, three take-profit targets at configurable risk-reward multiples (default 1R / 2R / 3R), a nineteen-row dashboard reporting live state for every component, and a thirteen-event alert package across four delivery channels.

How It Works
The Trigger — EMA9/EMA21 Crossover
On every confirmed bar close, the indicator computes the fast EMA (default 9) and slow EMA (default 21). A bullish trigger fires when the fast EMA crosses above the slow EMA; a bearish trigger when it crosses below. The trigger is deliberately simple — the edge is not in the crossover, it is in the gate that follows.
The Six-Factor Confluence Engine
Every crossover trigger is scored against six independent factors before a signal is drawn:
- EMA Cross — the trigger condition itself (always evaluated)
- Price vs Session VWAP — close above VWAP for buys, below for sells
- RSI Momentum — RSI above 50 for buys, below 50 for sells
- MACD Trend — MACD line above its signal line for buys, below for sells
- ADX Strength + EMA Alignment — ADX above threshold AND price on the correct side of the fast EMA
- Volume Burst + Candle Direction — current volume above the 20-bar SMA AND a directionally aligned candle
Each agreeing factor adds one point (0–6 total). A minimum-confluence input (default 3) sets how strict the gate is. Each signal is labeled with ASCII stars matching the score, and the dashboard shows live buy and sell scores on every tick so you can watch confluence build before a crossover fires. Factors 2–6 are individually toggleable; a disabled factor awards a free point so the ceiling stays at 6.
Session-Anchored VWAP
Rather than a rolling average, Sniper Ashfield Pro computes a true session-anchored VWAP that resets at the start of every trading day. It accumulates typical-price × volume and total volume across the session and divides them — the volume-weighted consensus price of the day, the single most-watched institutional reference. The VWAP is drawn as a two-color line: mint-tinted where price closed above it, red-tinted below, for an instant read of session control.
Automatic Risk Management — ATR Stop + 3 TP Ladder
The instant a signal clears the gate, the indicator computes an ATR-based stop loss: risk = ATR(AtrLen) × AtrMult , with a minimum floor so the stop never collapses onto entry. The stop breathes with volatility — wide on volatile instruments, tight on quiet ones, with no per-symbol pip tuning. Three take-profit targets are then computed at configurable risk-reward multiples (default 1R / 2R / 3R) and drawn as horizontal lines with right-edge price labels. Live hit detection recolors TP1/TP2 to a faded style when reached, wipes all lines on TP3 or SL, and tracks performance with a realistic refinement (TP1-before-SL counts as a win).
Non-Repainting Signal Engine
All signals are evaluated on confirmed, closed bars only. A crossover detected on bar N is final the instant bar N closes and is never re-evaluated. Signal objects are keyed by bar timestamp so recomputes never duplicate. The historical replay drawn at indicator load is identical to the signals that fired in real time, and alert messages are suppressed during the initial replay so attaching the indicator never floods your terminal.
Nineteen-Row Dashboard
A pixel-anchored dashboard reports live state across six sections: Market Context (bias, price-vs-VWAP, ATR and ATR%), Momentum Engine (RSI, MACD, ADX, EMA-cross and volume ratio), Confluence (live buy/sell scores with stars and the minimum threshold), Active Signal (direction, bars-ago, entry with live P&L, SL with percentage distance, TP1/TP2/TP3 with progress checkmarks), and Performance (running win-rate, total signals, TP and SL hit totals). Corner, font size, and header color are configurable inputs.

- Works on every symbol and every timeframe
Best Markets and Timeframes
Sniper Ashfield Pro works on every symbol type — forex majors, exotics, indices, commodities (gold, silver, oil), individual stocks, and crypto pairs — and on every timeframe from M1 to MN1. Higher timeframes (H1 and above) produce fewer, higher-conviction sniper entries; lower timeframes generate more frequent setups. The minimum-confluence input lets you tune signal frequency directly: set it to 3 on H1 majors for a balanced setup count, or to 5–6 on M5 if you need only the strongest setups.
