Parameters:

ShowInfoPanel -> display the information panel on the chart
Adjustment for Infopanel size -> in case of 4K display, set value to "2"
update infopanel during testing -> disabled for faster backtesting
Trade Frequency: allows you to use different setups from the EA, going from very conservative trading frequency to Intense trading frequency. By default, it is set to "auto", which means it will use the account balance, and the Max Allowed Drawdown to determine the trade frequency. When using "StartLots", you MUST set the trade frequency also manually!
Maximum allowed spread: maximum spread for pending orders to be allowed
Friday Stop Hour -> if you don't want trades to be hold over the weekend, set a value between 0 and 23. (25 means "disabled)
SetSL_TP_After_Entry -> enable only if your broker doesn't allow pending orders with SL and TP
Use Virtual Expiration -> enable only if your broker doesn't allow pending order with expiration date
Randomization -> this will randomize the entries, exits and TrailingSL values a bit, so that multiple users on the same broker, will have a bit different trades. Also good for prop firms. Good value is "50"
BaseMagicNumber -> the base magicnumber that will be used for all strategies
Comment for trades -> the comment to be used for the trades
Lotsize Calculation Method -> here you determine how the lotsize should be calculated: Manual Lotsize, Max Risk Per Strategy, or use the "Max Allowed Total Drawdown" for easiest setup
Manual lotsize -> set the value for fixed lotsize, when that option is chosen. This parameter will be used as "minimum lotsize" when using any of the other 2 options for lotsize calculation
Max Allowed Drawdown -> The prefered maximum allowed total drawdown (in %). The EA will then determine lotsize based on the historical max DD of the EA
Use Equity instead of Balance -> use Equity of the account to calculate all lotsize values
OnlyUp -> this will prevent lotsize to decrease after losses (more aggressive but faster recovery after losses)
AutoGMT -> let the EA calculate the correct GMT offset for your broker, so that the time of NFP will be correct
GMT_OFFSET_Winter -> for setting the GMT Offset manually in the wintertime (when AutoGMT is off, or during backtesting!)
GMT_OFFSET_Summer -> for setting the GMT Offset manually in the summertime (when AutoGMT is off, or during backtesting!)
Use MQL5 Calendar -> this will make the EA use the MQL5 Calendar for checking news events instead of the hardcoded dates
EnableNFP_Filter -> turn the NFP filter on or off
NFP_CloseOpenTrades -> force the EA to close all open trades when NFP starts (X minutes before NFP)
NFP_ClosePendingOrders -> force the EA to delete all pending orders when NFP starts (X minutes before NFP)
NFP_MinutesBefore -> how many minutes before the NFP event, to close trades and pending orders
NFP_MinutesAfter -> how many minutes after the NFP event, before the EA resumes trading again
(Same explanation for other news filters)
Fake Breakout Filter -> Enable a filter that will try to exit bad breakouts earlier
Prop Firm Settings: here you can make your trades unique by using the randomizer (value "50" is a good one to use for prop firms), or by manually adjusting some parameters for entry and exit
Max Daily Drawdown -> Here you can set a maximum allowed daily drawdown (in %). If it is reached, the EA would close all trades and pending orders, and wait for the next day. This is usefull for prop firms

IMPORTANT: For AUTO_GMT TO WORK -> you must add the URL "https : // www . worldtimeserver.com/" (remove spaces!!) to the "allowed URL's" in your MT4/MT5 terminal (tools -> options -> expert advisors)

As the developer with +20 years of experience building automated trading systems, I focus only on approaches that have a realistic chance of performing in live markets the way they do in testing, without curve-fitting or data-mining tricks.

I bought The Gold Phantom early this year, when the price was still low. I already knew Wim's work and I trusted it. The results match what is published. On my side they are even a little better. Then I did something the tester does not let you do: I looked at the 9 strategies one by one (fixed 1.00 lot, 100K starting balance, 2019-2026) using my Backtest Analyzer tool. All figures below are on the starting capital. Nothing is compounded. All 9 together: 140% average per year, 11.7% average per month, worst drawdown 54%, worst single day -36%. Strategy 5 is the best earner of the nine, 191% over the period. But it is also by far the most dangerous: on its own its drawdown reaches 77%, while the eight others stay between 9% and 20%. So I switched it off: - average year: 140% -> 116% - maximum drawdown: 54% -> 31% - worst day: -36% -> -21% I give up a part of the profit and I sleep much better. And if 31% is still too much for you, remember the lot size scales both sides. Run 0.50 lot instead of 1.00 on the same 100K and you get half of everything: around 58% a year for a 15% drawdown. Same EA, same trades, your own risk level. Excellent EA, and a developer you can trust.

I run a portfolio of 8 EAs. I have been running them since the start of this year and Gold Phantom is my second best performing EA - just over £2,000 up on a £20,000 start balance. As with any EA takes nerves at times to live through the drawdown periods but my experience of this EA is if you stick with it the returns are in the right direction on average. The support from Wim (and the community he has built) is second to none.

I have been running this live for a bit over 2 months now, and it is one of the best performing gold EAs I have, and I have many gold EAs. Even at 0.01 lots, it has been making me money over EAs with much larger position sizes. Even this past month where other EAs are taking large losses, sometimes full accounts being blown, Gold Phantom is exceling. It's pretty amazing to be honest. I love how it has a set SL/TP for every trade, so you know the trades cannot go into heavy unexpected DD all of a sudden, even when the terminal is shut off after a trade is entered. It is not grid/Martingale, so I have little worry for it. Highly recommended.
