Trade Assistant Pro (MT5)
A one-chart control panel for manual traders. It sizes every position from the risk you define, places market and pending orders from the chart, and then manages those positions with breakeven, partial closes and four trailing-stop engines.
Trade Assistant Pro is a "utility", not a signal generator. It does not predict direction and it never opens a trade on its own: every entry is triggered by you, from the panel, the chart lines, or an optional hotkey
What it is for
Manual trading breaks down in three places: position size is guessed, orders are typed into the order dialog under time pressure, and exits are managed by hand. This panel removes all three steps from the keyboard and puts them on the chart:
1. Set the risk once (currency amount or percent).
2. Draw or type the entry, stop loss and take profit.
3. Press BUY or SELL, confirm, and let the panel manage the position.
Feature list
Risk and volume
- Volume calculated from your risk and the stop-loss distance, per symbol and per broker contract specification.
- Five risk bases: $ Currency, % Balance, % Equity, % Free Margin, % Custom base.
- Volume is normalised to the symbol volume step, minimum and maximum.
- Free-margin check: if the required margin exceeds available margin, the volume is reduced instead of sending an order that the server would reject.
- Fixed-volume mode when risk-based sizing is switched off (LOT CALC button).
- Live projection on the panel: volume, risk in deposit currency, stop and target distance in points, and the resulting reward ratio, for both directions at once.
Order placement
- Market, Limit and Stop orders, buy and sell.
- Levels entered either as "points" from the entry or as chart prices (POINTS / PRICE switch).
- Reward ratio lock (R:R): take profit is kept at a chosen multiple of the stop loss and follows every stop change.
- Order comment field.
- Pre-send validation: entry availability, stop and target on the correct side, broker stops level, pending-order distance from market, algo-trading permission, and an optional spread limit that blocks entries while the spread is too wide.
Chart line planner
- Draggable entry, stop loss and take profit lines in the panel theme.
- Dragging a line updates the panel fields, the calculated volume, the risk amount and the reward ratio immediately.
- With the reward ratio locked, moving the stop line moves the target line automatically.
- BUY / SELL executes exactly the levels drawn on the chart.
Order confirmation window
- Optional confirmation panel before any order is sent, drawn in the same theme as the utility.
- Shows order type, volume, entry, stop loss, take profit, stop and target distance in points, risk in account currency, reward amount and reward ratio.
- The rest of the panel is locked until you press CONFIRM or CANCEL.
- On confirmation the order is re-validated and re-priced at send time, so a market order is never sent with a stale price.
Position management (automatic, per position)
- Breakeven: when a position reaches the trigger distance, the stop loss is moved to the entry price plus your offset. Also available as a one-click B/E button for all open positions.
- Trailing stop, four engines:
- Points: fixed distance from the market price.
- ATR: distance from the market price scaled by ATR and a factor.
- Moving average: the stop follows a configurable MA with an indent.
- Previous bar high/low: the stop follows the last closed bar with distance and indent.
- Each engine uses start distance, step and its own timeframe; the stop is only ever moved in the profitable direction and only when the broker stops level allows it.
- Partial close, three levels: each level closes a percentage of the initial position volume when price reaches a reward-ratio multiple of the original risk (for example 50% at 1R, 25% at 2R, 25% at 3R). Levels can be enabled individually and each level fires once per position.
Close and protection tools
- Close Buy, Close Sell, Close All.
- Close Profit only, Close Loss only.
- Close a percentage of every open position in one click.
- Delete Stop orders, Delete Limit orders, Delete all pending orders.
- Equity guard: closes all positions when the floating result reaches a profit target or a loss limit you set, then disarms itself.
Price alert
- One-click alert line placed on the chart with a visible `ALERT <price>` label.
- Drag the line to any level; the trigger direction is re-armed from the current price on every move.
- On trigger: terminal popup, sound file and push notification (each optional). The alert fires once and then disarms.
On-chart position boxes
- Every open position on the chart symbol is drawn with an entry line, a filled box from entry to take profit and a filled box from entry to stop loss, in the utility theme colours.
- Labels show direction, volume, current result, and the stop and target prices.
- Redrawn only when a position, its stop, its target or the bar changes. Can be switched off.
Symbol switching
- Symbol button with a dropdown of all Market Watch symbols, paged, with the current symbol highlighted.
- Selecting a symbol switches the chart symbol; the panel, lines and boxes rebuild on the new symbol.
Night and day themes
- Dark theme (default) and a light theme with a white background and dark text, keeping the same accent colours.
- One button switches between them. Optionally the chart background, grid and candle colours are restyled to match.
Position scope and identification
- Expert ID (magic number) so the panel manages its own positions on a chart. Set it to 0 to manage positions with any identifier.
- All symbols switch: manage positions on every symbol, not only the chart symbol.
- All IDs switch: manage positions opened by other programs or by hand.
- Use a different Expert ID when you run the panel on more than one chart of the same symbol.
Information and convenience
- Server clock with the time remaining until the current bar closes.
- Symbol and timeframe, current spread in points, balance, equity, open buy/sell/pending counts, floating result in currency and in percent of balance.
- Account and terminal state: Expert ID, broker stops level, algo-trading status, active risk mode, active trailing engine.
- Status line with the result of the last action or the reason an order was refused.
- Optional hotkeys: buy, sell, close all, toggle lines.
- Chart screenshot button; the image is written to the terminal `MQL5\Files` folder.
Panel layout
The panel has a fixed header and summary block plus four tabs.

Numeric fields accept typed values and are applied when you press Enter or leave the field.

Quick start
1. Attach the utility to a chart and allow algo trading in the terminal.
2. On the SETUP tab choose the risk calculation mode; on the TRADE tab enter the risk value.
3. Press LINES and drag the entry, stop and target lines, or type the levels in the fields.
4. Check the projected volume, risk and reward ratio on the panel.
5. Press BUY or SELL, then CONFIRM in the confirmation window.
6. On the MANAGE tab arm breakeven, a trailing engine and partial-close levels if you want the exit handled automatically.
Recommendations:
- Partial-close levels and reward-ratio triggers need an initial stop loss, because one R is the distance between entry and stop.
- Give each chart a different Expert ID if you run more than one panel on the same symbol.
- Volume must be large enough to be divided when several partial-close levels are enabled.
Requirements and compatibility
- MetaTrader 5, build 2400 or newer.
- Any symbol and any timeframe; works with netting and hedging accounts.
- Algo trading must be enabled in the terminal and for the program.
- Works on demand, tick by tick, and does not require a specific broker, indicator or external library.
- Automatic functions (trailing, breakeven, partial closes, equity guard, price alert) run only while the terminal is open, the chart is attached and a connection to the server exists.
- The panel can be examined in the Strategy Tester in visual mode.
