What is CMF?
Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) is a volume-weighted momentum indicator developed by Marc Chaikin that measures the buying and selling pressure over a specified period. The indicator calculates the Money Flow Multiplier for each period and creates a weighted average over the lookback period.
CMF oscillates between +1 and -1, with positive values indicating buying pressure (accumulation) and negative values indicating selling pressure (distribution). Values above zero suggest that the market is under accumulation, while values below zero indicate distribution. The indicator helps traders confirm trend strength and identify potential reversals by analyzing the relationship between price and volume.

Input Parameters:
- Basic Settings:
- CMF bar shift: Offset the line drawing by specified number of bars.
- CMF period: Number of periods for calculation (default 20).
- CMF timeframe: Choose timeframe for MTF display.
- MTF on higher TF only: Restrict MTF to higher timeframes only.
- MTF Interpolation mode: Select smoothing method (Off, Linear, Step).
- Maximum bars to calculate: Performance optimization limit.
- Show in indicator window: Display label options.
- Levels Settings:
- Show level: Toggle level line visibility.
- Adjust level value: Set custom level position (default 0).
- Level appearance: Customize color, style, and width.
- Signal Settings:
- Signal 1/2/3 trigger: Configure detection type (direction change, level cross, peak/valley).
- Visual markers: Enable arrows and vertical lines with customizable size, style, and position.
- Arrow customization: Set Wingdings codes and colors for up/down signals.
- Arrow distance: Position relative to candle (close/high-low/extreme).
- Alert Settings:
- Alert timing: Choose when alerts trigger (Off, After close, Before close, Both).
- Alert interval limit: Set minimum minutes between repeated alerts (0 = no limit).
- Shortcut key: Test alert delivery with keyboard shortcut.
- Time range filter: Restrict alerts to specific hours (format: HH:MM).
- Message ID: Short identifier for alert messages.
- Delivery methods: Enable email, push, popup, and sound notifications.
- Sound file: Custom audio file for sound alerts.
- Telegram notifications: Optional Telegram integration with token and chat ID.
- Color and Style Settings:
- Color mode: Select from multiple modes (simple, direction-based, level-based, direction+level).
- Histogram mode: Switch between line and histogram display.
- Line appearance: Customize colors (4 per line), style, and width.
