AT MM Pro — Multi-Symbol Trend-Following Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4
AT MM Pro is a multi-symbol trend-following Expert Advisor designed for automated trading in MetaTrader 4.
The EA is attached to M1 charts. It opens positions when its built-in conditions indicate a potential emerging trend. Trading signals are calculated using data from multiple timeframes.
Main Features
- No grid trading
- No martingale position sizing
- Every position is protected by a stop loss
- Fixed monetary risk and percentage-based risk calculated from the current account balance
- Configurable take-profit-to-stop-loss ratio from 5:1 to 10:1
- Two trailing-stop modes
- Configurable trading start and end times
- Limit on the number of simultaneously open positions per symbol
- you can limit the number of simultaneously open positions for all symbols
- Configurable maximum spread filter
- Support for broker symbol suffixes, such as XAUUSD.pro or USDJPY.m
Under standard market conditions, the trailing stop follows the price more gradually.
During strong directional movements, the EA uses a faster trailing-stop mode, allowing the stop loss to follow the price more closely.
The trading-time filter operates according to the broker’s server time.
Recommended Configuration
The EA has been tested by the author on the following instruments:
- USDJPY — 6 charts
- XAUUSD — 4 charts
- GBPJPY — 4 charts
- EURAUD — 2 charts
- EURJPY — 2 charts
The complete author configuration consists of 18 M1 charts. A separate .set file is used for each chart.
The package includes 18 .set files. They are available in the Comments section of the product page.
Different EA instances use separate parameter sets and data from multiple timeframes.
Risk Management
1.The EA supports two position-sizing modes:
- Fixed monetary risk per trade
- Percentage-based risk calculated from the current account balance
The author’s configuration allows risk of up to 2% per position. This value applies only to one individual trade and does not limit the total risk of the entire trading account.
2. The number of simultaneously open positions on one symbol. Several positions can be open simultaneously for one symbol. The author’s configuration allows the simultaneous opening of 2 (two) positions.
3. The number of simultaneously open positions on all symbols of the entire trading account. The total risk of the entire trading account is limited by the number of positions across all symbols. The author’s configuration allows up to 8 (eight) positions to be open simultaneously.
Users must select an appropriate total risk level while considering:
- the number of simultaneously open positions
- correlation between instruments
- account size
- the broker’s minimum trading volume
- acceptable drawdown
Recommended modes: a maximum of 2 open positions per symbol and 8 open positions across the entire portfolio. In summary:
· Conservative: 0.25% risk per trade, maximum 2% of open portfolio risk.
· Standard: 0.5% per trade, maximum 4% of portfolio risk.
· Advanced: up to 1% per trade, maximum 8% of portfolio risk.
It is recommended to begin with the lowest possible risk and test the EA on a demo account before using it with real funds.
Trading Account Requirements
Recommended trading conditions:
- ECN, Raw Spread or a similar account type
- Leverage of at least 1:100
- Low spreads and commissions
- Fast and stable order execution
The EA is not tied to a specific broker. A hedging account type is not required.
A $100 account may be sufficient for technical testing of selected configurations at the minimum lot size and reduced risk. This amount is not a recommended deposit for the complete 18-chart configuration.
The required deposit depends on:
- the number of configurations being used
- selected risk per trade
- the broker’s minimum lot size
- the point value of each instrument
- margin requirements
- acceptable aggregate risk
A VPS is not technically mandatory. However, for continuous automated trading, MetaTrader 4 must remain running and maintain a stable connection to the broker’s server.
Using a VPS may improve connection stability when the EA is expected to operate continuously.
Actual results may be affected by:
- broker commissions
- slippage
- spread widening
- order execution speed
- differences in broker price feeds
- trading symbol specifications
- internet or VPS connection stability
Historical Testing
The historical tests cover the period from January 2, 2011 to December 30, 2025.
A fixed maximum risk of $20 per trade was used. This represents the maximum expected loss if the position is closed at its stop loss.
With an initial deposit of $1000, a $20 risk per trade is equal to 2% of the initial deposit per position.

Risk Warning
Trading foreign exchange, precious metals and other leveraged financial instruments involves substantial risk.
The fact that the EA does not use grid trading or martingale position sizing does not eliminate the possibility of significant losses or the loss of all funds allocated to the trading account.
Historical test results and live trading results do not guarantee similar performance in the future.
Before using the EA on a live account:
- test it under your broker’s trading conditions
- verify the compatibility of the supplied .set files
- check the broker’s symbol names and specifications
- use a risk level appropriate for your account size
- consider the maximum drawdown you are prepared to accept
