RelicusRoad Multi Timeframe Trendbar is a multi-timeframe trend indicator for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 that shows an Uptrend, Neutral or Downtrend state for nine timeframes, M1 to MN1, as a row of colored dots in the chart corner.
Each timeframe gets one dot with its name above it, in the lower-right corner of the chart. The color tells you the state, so you can see which timeframes agree without switching charts.
How it works
For each timeframe, the indicator compares two standard tools on the current bar of that timeframe: Parabolic SAR with step 0.02 and maximum 0.2, and the +DI and -DI lines of ADX with period 14. The two must agree before a direction is shown:
- Uptrend: Parabolic SAR is below the close and +DI is above -DI, lime by default.
- Downtrend: Parabolic SAR is above the close and -DI is above +DI, red by default.
- Neutral: any other case, including when SAR and DI disagree, yellow by default.
The ADX main line is not used, so the row shows direction only, not trend strength. The ADX and SAR settings are fixed. Each timeframe is shown on its own; there is no combined alignment score. The nine source timeframes are the same whichever chart timeframe you attach it to.
What it draws
- Nine state dots: one filled circle per timeframe, from M1 to MN1.
- Timeframe names: M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1 and MN1, each above its dot.
- State colors: the dot and its name share the color of the current state.
- Corner placement: a single row in the lower-right corner, M1 on the left and MN1 closest to the edge.
- Same shape for every state: the dot does not point up or down; only its color changes.
- No price plots: nothing is drawn on the candles, and the labels cannot be selected by accident.
Reading the chart
A row that is lime from M1 to MN1 means SAR and DI point up on every timeframe. A row that is lime on the lower timeframes and red on D1, W1 and MN1 shows exactly where short-term direction and long-term direction part ways.
Yellow does not mean a quiet market. It means the two tests disagree on that timeframe, or one of them is exactly level, so no direction is shown.
The reading comes from the bar that is still forming on each timeframe. It is a snapshot, and the same dot can change color at the next refresh.

Recommended use
Useful on forex, gold (XAUUSD), indices, stocks and crypto. Attach it to any single chart; it reads the other timeframes itself. It suits lower chart timeframes, because the whole row refreshes once per bar of the chart it is attached to.
Common questions
How often do the dots update? When a new bar opens on the chart timeframe. On an H4 chart, all nine dots, including M1, refresh once every four hours. On an M1 chart they refresh every minute.
Why is a timeframe yellow right after I attach it? If the terminal has not loaded history for that timeframe yet, the reading usually falls to Neutral. Open that timeframe once so the terminal downloads its history.
Can I change the ADX period or the SAR settings? No. ADX 14 and SAR 0.02 and 0.2 are fixed in this build. You can hide timeframes and change colors and sizes.
Does it place trades? No. It only shows a colored state for each timeframe.
