Aurum H1 Trend Breakout (Aurum Lite) is the free version of Aurum Trend Breakout, a trend-following Expert Advisor for Gold (XAUUSD) on MetaTrader 5.

It uses the same core H1 engine as the full version: a breakout in the direction of the trend, a hard Stop Loss on every trade, and no take profit that cuts the big moves short. Aurum does not try to win often. It tries to lose small and let the winners run.

HOW IT TRADES

1. Trend: the fast EMA (20) must be above the slow EMA (200) on H1 for buys, below it for sells. Sells also require a daily downtrend (price below the D1 EMA 200).

2. Breakout: a closed H1 candle breaks the 20-bar channel in the trend direction. Signals use closed bars only.

3. Protection: a hard Stop Loss at 2.5 x ATR is sent with the order.

4. Exit: the trade runs until the trend flips (EMA cross).

One position at a time. Never a grid, martingale, averaging or recovery lot.

RECOMMENDED SETTINGS

Symbol: XAUUSD (any suffix, e.g. XAUUSDm, GOLD). Attach to an H1 chart.
Fixed lot: 0.01 per 3,000 USD or more of balance is a reasonable start.
Brokers with low gold spreads; a VPS is recommended for 24/5 running.

IMPORTANT
