TYCOON Breakout MT5 1.4 is a fully automated Expert Advisor for XAUUSD / Gold on MetaTrader 5.

Tycoon was developed to trade larger breakout and momentum movements in the gold market. The focus is on pronounced market moves, larger price ranges and robust trade management.

The EA waits for the internal conditions of its individual strategies and does not trade continuously.

4 INDEPENDENT STRATEGIES

Tycoon combines four independent trading strategies:

PARK
PLAZA
TOWER
ESTATE

Each strategy has its own entry logic, market conditions, production parameters and separate trade management.

For each strategy, the following can be selected individually:

ONLY BUY
ONLY SELL
individual Money Management
individual risk or lot size

The strategies can trade independently.

Tycoon 1.4 limits each strategy to a maximum of one open position at a time. Depending on the strategy, several well-spaced Pending Orders may be managed before an entry is triggered.

TYCOON RISK PROFILES

Tycoon 1.4 also provides preconfigured strategy combinations:

LOW – ESTATE
MEDIUM – PARK + ESTATE
HIGH – PARK + PLAZA + ESTATE
ARMAGEDDON – all 4 strategies
CUSTOM – manual strategy selection

The approximate trade counts displayed in the EA are based on a historical backtest from 01.01.2026 to 30.08.2026 and are not a guarantee of future trade frequency.

Risk Profiles primarily determine the strategy combination being used. Actual position size and risk are still controlled through the Money Management settings of the individual strategies.

MONEY MANAGEMENT

Tycoon offers three different methods for position sizing:

Fixed Lot – fixed lot size
Risk Percent – automatic position size based on the selected percentage risk
Risk per Balance – automatic lot scaling based on the current account balance

Money Management can be configured separately for PARK, PLAZA, TOWER and ESTATE.

Since several strategies may trade at the same time, the combined overall risk should always be taken into account.

FINAL PRODUCTION PARAMETERS

In sales version 1.4, the final optimized entry offsets are frozen internally and are not exposed as customer inputs.

Stop Loss, Take Profit, trailing and the internal structure and signal parameters also use the final production values.

This intentionally keeps the customer interface compact and focused on:

AUTOMATIC TRADE MANAGEMENT

Tycoon handles the complete trading process automatically:

As soon as a strategy has an open position, remaining Pending Orders from that same strategy are removed and new entries for that strategy are blocked while the position remains open.

HYBRID TRAILING & PROTECTION SYSTEM

Tycoon 1.4 uses a broker-first hybrid system.

The EA first attempts to place the desired protection level as a visible Stop Loss directly with the broker.

Tycoon takes into account factors including:

Stop Levels
Freeze Levels
Slippage
broker rejects
fast market movements
broker execution

If a requested Stop Loss or trailing adjustment cannot temporarily be placed with the broker, the exact protection level remains active internally as a virtual fallback.

If the market reaches this virtual protection level, Tycoon attempts to close the position. Once a close process has been triggered, the close intent remains active and is retried on later ticks when necessary until the exact position ticket is actually closed.

In live and demo trading, virtual protection levels are stored and can be restored after a restart of MT5, the EA or the VPS.

NEWS FILTER

Tycoon includes an integrated News Filter for important USD economic news.

By default, the News Filter is enabled and monitors events including:

Average Hourly Earnings
PCE / Core PCE

Additional events can be enabled:

By default, new entries can be blocked 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after selected news events.

Existing Tycoon Pending Orders can also be removed inside the news window.

The News Filter can be disabled completely.

NEWS WEEK RISK MODE

Tycoon 1.4 includes a manual News Week Risk Mode.

Available settings:

OFF
REDUCE 25%
REDUCE 50%

This allows position size or the selected risk to be reduced during especially volatile or important news weeks.

IMPORTANT – NEWS FILTER SETUP

For the external news backup feed to work, the required WebRequest must be allowed in MetaTrader 5.

In MT5:

Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest

Then add the news URL specified in the Tycoon EA to the list of allowed WebRequest URLs.

WEEKEND PROTECTION

From Friday 22:00 broker/server time, all TYCOON Pending Orders are removed and new Pending Orders are blocked.

The block remains active throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Normal entry operation can resume from Monday 00:00 broker/server time.

Positions that are already open remain unaffected and continue to be managed by Stop Loss, Take Profit and the hybrid protection system.

BROKER QUALITY & EXECUTION MONITORING

Tycoon monitors not only broker ping, but actual trade execution.

Factors taken into account include:

Tycoon uses several of these values to calculate its own Broker Quality rating.

A low ping alone does not guarantee good execution.

VPS QUALITY

current ping / latency
connection status

This helps distinguish whether possible execution problems are more likely related to the broker or to the server/VPS connection.

Got this EA since launch, and can honestly say this is one of my favorite breakout EA in my arsenal. It works great in tandem with Ghost Scalper, where if the other EA losses, the other can win and they help balance stuff out if run in tandem. The stuff written in the comments by other users in regards to the EA not performing as seen on backtests are quite baseless. With any breakout system, it's impossible to replicate what you see in the backtest to the live markets because of broker related stuff such as slippage, execution, and so on. In fact, these breakout EAs dont work on all brokers and you have to be using a fast ECN broker. I just hope Thommy finally adds the comment input on his EAs, please please please. (I was expecting it on ghost v5 but still didn't come out there..) Anyway, i hope this review helps other potential users in the future.

very good backtest results that are not like that when EA moves to the a real account. I got the for 49usd the first day but this is another EA that goes to the bin.

Thank you for your review. I understand that you expected one single EA containing all 12 strategies with the ability to freely configure and combine the internal logic yourself. That is simply not how my products are designed. Each EA has its own fixed strategy structure, trade management and purpose. The core logic remains protected and fixed to avoid configuration mistakes and unintended changes to the tested strategy. What makes this review rather strange is that you promote and support your own EA in the very same Telegram channel while at the same time complaining about why other EAs are successful. Meanwhile, a large part of the discussion around your own product seems to be about basic issues such as whether “Quantum Warrior”, “Quantum warrior”, “Warrior” or “Quantum” has to be written in a certain way for it to work correctly. Instead of accusing other developers of copying simply because their products are successful, perhaps it would make more sense to focus on improving your own product and support. Different EAs can use similar trading concepts without being the same product. My customers buy my EAs for their tested strategies, not to rebuild the internal logic themselves. You may dislike that approach, and that is perfectly fine, but it is a deliberate design decision — not evidence that the products are identical or copied.
