Tick And Spread Logger
This application is a tick and spread logger for MetaTrader. It records your broker's real ticks and spread, so you can check and validate the quality of tick data. Attach it to any chart and, while it runs, it logs every tick (bid, ask, spread, volume, and time) to a CSV file that updates every minute. From those ticks it also draws a diagram showing the maximum, average, and minimum spread, in points, over the time the application has been running.
The diagram is split by weekday, starting with Sunday, so you can see the typical spread pattern across the trading week. You can then compare it with the spreads in the MT5 Tick Data historical dataset to confirm that the data reflects real market conditions.
What the application records:
