Smart Top Bottom Finder is a market structure and frequency analysis indicator designed to identify potential tops and bottoms based on recurring price movement patterns.
The indicator does not rely on traditional oscillators or lagging calculations. Instead, it analyzes the frequency of market movements, validates trend structure, and projects future reaction zones using objective price behavior.
The system continuously measures price movements and identifies recurring frequencies that often precede future turning points. Based on these frequencies and the current market structure, it automatically projects potential reaction levels where price may form a top, bottom, continuation, or reversal.
Market structure is evaluated through the identification of lower highs and higher lows. Only validated frequencies are considered in the calculations, helping reduce the impact of weak movements and market noise. When market conditions change and a new movement becomes significantly larger than previous frequencies, the indicator automatically adapts its calculations to reflect the new environment.
During sideways conditions, the last valid frequency is preserved to avoid generating unreliable projections. The indicator can also detect strong bullish and bearish breakouts and apply alternative projection logic when market expansion exceeds normal frequency behavior. An optional sensitive mode is available for traders who prefer earlier projections with less restrictive confirmation requirements.
Each projection includes a confidence estimate based on historical frequency consistency, market structure quality, trend strength, and ADX analysis. All calculations are updated in real time, including active projections, trend direction, current frequency, average frequency, and confidence values.
In bearish market structures, a frequency is validated after the formation of a lower high and confirmation of the downward movement. The indicator then projects the next potential top using the validated frequency. In bullish market structures, a frequency is validated after the formation of a higher low and confirmation of the upward movement. The indicator then projects the next potential bottom using the same methodology.
When price exceeds the previous structure by a significant margin, a special projection model is activated to handle strong expansion phases. Likewise, if a frequency becomes unusually large compared to previous valid frequencies, the system automatically adjusts its calculations to reflect the new market rhythm.
Smart Top Bottom Finder can be used for scalping, day trading, swing trading, trend-following strategies, pullback trading, market structure analysis, price action trading, and support and resistance studies. It works on all symbols and timeframes and has been optimized for efficient operation in MetaTrader 5.
