Market Regimes

NovaTrend classifies market conditions into four practical states:

NEUTRAL
Little directional commitment.

BUILDING
Trend pressure is developing but has not yet reached full activation.

ACTIVE
Directional strength has crossed the adaptive activation threshold.

STRONG
High-quality directional persistence is present.

This makes the scanner useful not only for finding signals, but also for understanding where the market currently has meaningful directional participation.

Adaptive Activation

Markets do not behave the same way in every volatility environment.

NovaTrend therefore adjusts its activation threshold according to current volatility conditions rather than relying entirely on a fixed strength level.

This helps prevent the scanner from treating quiet and highly active markets as if they were identical.

Closed-Bar Signal Logic

NovaTrend activations are generated from completed candles.

Once a historical activation has been confirmed, it remains fixed.

The scanner is designed to avoid the misleading behaviour associated with signals that constantly move or disappear while a candle is still forming.

One Signal Per Trend Cycle

NovaTrend can require the market to return to a neutral state before another activation is allowed.

This reduces repetitive signals during the same extended trend and helps the trader focus on meaningful changes in trend state.

Multi-Symbol / Multi-Timeframe Intelligence

The scanner can monitor many markets simultaneously across multiple timeframes.

Default scanning includes:

Broker symbol variations and common suffixes are automatically handled where possible.

Higher-Timeframe Context

Lower-timeframe opportunities can also be compared with higher-timeframe direction and trend state.

This gives additional context when deciding which signals deserve attention first.

Opportunity Ranking

NovaTrend ELITE does more than list signals.

Each recent opportunity receives a separate prioritization score and grade:

A+ • A • B+ • B • C • D

This ranking layer does not change the original NovaTrend activation.

It simply answers a second question:

Among all valid NovaTrend opportunities, which ones deserve attention first?

Signal Freshness

Signal age is displayed directly in bars.

For example:

0b = latest completed candle
1b = one completed candle ago
3b = three candles ago

This makes it easy to distinguish a fresh activation from an older trend that may already be extended.

Interactive Workflow

The scanner is designed to reduce chart-hunting.

Select an opportunity to quickly investigate that symbol and timeframe rather than manually searching through your terminal.
