Markov Prime is a next-generation professional analytical indicator that combines classic technical analysis with probability theory (Markov Chains) and fractal geometry (Time Exponent).
Unlike most standard indicators that have "memory" and lag significantly, Markov Prime analyzes the market differently: it calculates the probability of the current market state (trend or flat) continuing in real-time. The indicator is designed to filter out false entries during market noise and find the most probable points for opening positions.
The indicator is non-repainting, does not lag on closed bars, and features a convenient on-chart information panel.
Key Technologies:
-
Markov Chain Filter: Analyzes the last 100 bars and builds a transition state matrix. If a signal occurs but the probability of trend continuation according to Markov is low, the signal is blocked.
-
Time Exponent (TE): Evaluates the "quality" of price movement. It filters chaotic (noisy) movements and prevents entering the market during chop.
-
Hybrid Signal Core: Choose one of three built-in strategies directly on the chart via a convenient dropdown menu.
Three Built-in Strategies:
-
RSI + EMA Trend: Trading pullbacks in the direction of the global trend (uses RSI overbought/oversold zones and EMA 21/50 filter).
-
EMA 21/50 Crossover: Classic intersection of fast and slow moving averages to catch new trends, backed by strict Markov filtering.
-
Channel Breakout: Breakout of local extremes (channels) taking ATR volatility into account.
Main Advantages:
-
Non-repainting: Arrows are fixed only after the candle closes and never disappear.
-
Interactive Panel: Strategy selection and monitoring of Markov and TE metrics directly on the chart in 1 click.
-
Multi-currency: Works on any financial instruments (Forex, Crypto, Indices, Metals).
-
Full Alert System: Supports Popup, Push notifications to mobile, and Email.
Input Parameters: === SIGNAL SETTINGS ===
-
Default Strategy — strategy loaded by default (0 = RSI+EMA, 1 = EMA Cross, 2 = Breakout).
-
RSI Period / OS / OB — settings for the period and oversold/overbought levels for RSI.
-
Fast/Slow EMA Period — periods of the fast and slow moving averages.
-
Breakout Lookback Bars — number of bars to search for breakout levels. === MARKOV FILTER ===
-
Enable Markov Filter — enable/disable the probabilistic filter.
-
Markov History Bars — history depth for training the Markov matrix (100 recommended).
-
Markov Smoothing — smoothing for calculating market states.
-
Minimum Probability — minimum probability threshold for signal confirmation (e.g., 0.52). === TIME EXPONENT ===
-
Enable Time Exponent Filter — enable/disable the fractal filter.
-
TE Period — calculation period.
-
TE Minimum/Maximum Threshold — boundaries within which the movement is considered a directional trend. === VISUAL SETTINGS & ALERTS ===
-
Arrow Size / Gap — size of signal arrows and their distance from candles.
-
Panel Position & Offsets — settings for the location of the info panel on the chart.
-
Alerts — enable sound, popup, Push, and Email notifications.
Note: Markov Prime is a supplementary analytical tool. It is recommended to use it in combination with money management rules and your own understanding of the market context. Works best on M15 timeframes and higher.
