GOLD PIVOT v2.0 — ML-gated gold trend EA (XAUUSD)
WHAT'S NEW IN v2.0: The entry selection is now a gradient-boosted machine-learning gate trained on 2022-2024 and validated untouched on 2025-2026 (walk-forward). This replaces the older rule-based engine, whose edge depended too much on a single year.
REAL-TICK BACKTEST (Dukascopy every-tick, MT5 Strategy Tester, $10,000, Standard tier = default): XAUUSD 2022 to mid-2026 (4.5 years): +41% / Profit Factor 1.61 / equity drawdown 15.9% / win rate 90.6% / 203 trades. Year by year: 2022 +9%, 2023 -7%, 2024 +14%, 2025 +9%, 2026 (to June) +12% — one losing year. Parameters were tuned ONLY on 2022-2024 and then verified without changes on 2025-2026.
RISK TIERS (RunMode dropdown, win-scaling cap):
Defensive (cap 1): about +2.4% per year, drawdown ~4%
Standard (cap 4): about +8% per year, drawdown ~16% (published)
Aggressive (cap 8): about +14% per year, drawdown ~29%
HOW IT WORKS
1) Entry: the EA tracks a causal ATR-scaled ZigZag on the H4 timeframe; when price breaks a confirmed pivot on M1, a 16-feature gradient-boosted model scores the setup and only high-probability breaks are taken.
2) Exit: an ATR-scaled trailing stop with a hard stop-loss on every trade. No grid, no martingale, one position at a time.
3) Sizing: risk-percent of balance with an optional win-scaling multiplier (the RunMode tiers above).
IMPORTANT: This is a gold, recent-regime tool. It was designed and validated on 2022 onward. A hard stop-loss caps every trade, but no backtest guarantees future results. Test on a demo account and size risk conservatively.
