Smart Gold Hunter

I purchased Smart Gold Hunter and tested it on a real trading account. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. The trading results on my account were significantly different from the developer’s public Live Signal. The entry times, trade directions, and number of trades were not consistent with the Live Signal. While the public Live Signal was showing profitable trades during the same period, my account experienced several consecutive losing trades. I understand that differences in brokers, spreads, slippage, and execution can affect results. However, the differences I experienced were much more significant than normal execution differences. Based on my actual experience, I do not believe the public Live Signal performance accurately represents what an ordinary customer can expect from this EA. I strongly recommend testing the EA carefully on a demo account before using real money. I personally will not continue using it.

I understand that your Live Signal uses an exclusive set file. However, this is exactly the issue I am raising.

If the official Live Signal requires a specific set file and profile that are not automatically provided with the EA, then the EA purchased from the Market does not necessarily reproduce the Live Signal shown on the product page.

Could you please clearly confirm:

1. Which exact EA version is currently running on your IC Markets Main Live Signal 2365400?

2. Which exact Profile is being used?

3. Which exact .set file is being used?

4. Can this same .set file be provided to every purchaser of Smart Gold Hunter?

I am not asking for a refund or trying to obtain a free EA. I simply want to understand why my live trading results and trade sequence are substantially different from the public Live Signal.

If the same version, profile, and set file are used, I would be happy to compare the trades objectively.

I'm just an ordinary trader, everything I say is the truth.

Hi, I need help with Smart Gold Hunter 3.5 using the Striker profile on XAUUSD. I found a serious issue with the risk management settings. My demo account started with $20,000. I set: Use Risk % Per Trade Or Fixed Lot = TRUE Risk Percent = 3.0 However, the EA opened a 4.48 lot BUY position at 4372.82 with SL at 4368.57. The SL was hit and the loss was $1,904, approximately 9.52% of the account, instead of around 3%. After the balance became $18,096, the EA created another 4.05 lot pending order with a similar SL distance, again representing approximately 9.5% risk. I also found another problem: when I change “Use Risk % Per Trade Or Fixed Lot” to TRUE and save it as a .set file, the saved file correctly loads as TRUE. But after I click OK and reopen the EA inputs, the setting automatically returns to FALSE. I am using Smart Gold Hunter 3.5 / Striker / XAUUSD on MT5. Could you please explain why this happens and send me the latest official Striker .set file for version 3.5? I specifically need the correct setup for percentage-based risk management. Terrible experience with this, first day using lost 3% on one account and 2% on the other even though I only set 0.5% and sent a screen shot of my settings to the developer who approved. he said it was slippage. I stopped trading the robot on those accounts and focused on IC markets same broker as the developer, some times it loses whilst the signal from the developer wins, it didnt match the trading history, ive had 7 consecutive losses, nothing like the backtest at all, this is the second robot ive bought from the developer, very dissapointed

It is time to share my review of the Expert Advisor's performance. It is operating with 1:40 leverage on a classic account. The EA features several strategies; for this account, I am using the "Swinger" strategy. It has been trading under these conditions for a month now, executing 31 trades—9 of which resulted in a loss. Overall, the profit for the month totaled 7,241 pips. As of now, the EA is worth the price. I will update this review if my opinion changes.

Scam, i can say it loud and clear, the backtest if you checked the visualisation, it shows 2 border stop orders and unexplained profit rising.... i used this ea on my real accounts, it just places 2 stop buy and sell orders and it waits, that's all it does, i just lost today over 200 usd because of this approach, the price flactuates inside the orders then jumps back and those orders placed by this pathetic ea are usually heavy order sizes, a lot of losses...in the backtesting it showed i can make 1250000 out of 30 dollars in 1 month 😅

Probably the most stable EA on the market. For the third week in a row, it’s been regularly closing positions in profit. Of course, there are SLs as well, but after the latest update, in my opinion, it works exceptionally well

The Smart Gold Hunter product features an excellent system capable of trading under all market conditions, with effective risk management. While there may be challenging periods—such as encountering multiple stop-loss (SL) hits—my experience using it over time has shown that the system performs well, delivering strong results during profitable phases. It is important for everyone to understand that CFD trading carries high risk.

Since this EA appears to be heavily optimized for past market conditions, the backtest results look very good, but my live trading results have been disappointing. This is shortly after the update to version 3.3, so I will continue evaluating it for now, but if the results do not improve, I plan to stop using it. There is also an important issue regarding the external Telegram community. After I posted my critical review, the developer recommended that I join the buyer-only chat room to compare results with other users. However, when I checked Telegram, I found that I had already been removed from that community. I am aware that the developer regularly posts warnings about scammers, and I am not accusing the developer of operating or being responsible for any scam accounts. However, the practical risk remains. Shortly after I originally joined the Telegram community, I received a message from an account with a name almost identical to the community administrator. Scam accounts therefore appear to be actively targeting members of the community despite the warnings. Later, after further contact with the developer regarding my removal from the group, I also received phishing messages impersonating Telegram. I am not claiming who was responsible for these messages. I have reported the incidents to the MQL5 Service Desk and informed them that I have screenshots and other supporting evidence. My concern is not whether the developer posts warnings — he does. My concern is that buyers joining the external Telegram community may still be directly targeted by scammers. I strongly recommend that buyers exercise caution when joining external Telegram communities, responding to private messages, or sharing contact information.
