EA Pips Hunter

I have been using one man army + pips hunter together on live account for 4+ months. I recently found out two EAs working together barely breaks even, maybe one man army compensate pips hunter drawdown - the big drawdown occurred during NZD, AUD sky rocketed during Jan. It seems author keeps releasing new EAs while leave old bot problem unaddressed, and shut down live signal since Jan is definitely a red flag, which makes me feel concerned in using the bot for live account

I have been using this EA since day one. Unfortunately not profitable. Positions remain opens over long time to finally hit the SL. You end up having small win vs huge losses.

Since the market is changing, the deterioration in results may be unavoidable. This could be a temporary drawdown period. However, the real problem is the author’s response. I have purchased other EAs from this author as well, but the author ignores inconvenient comments and deletes signals with poor results. Their handling is extremely poor, and I cannot trust them.

This means that every time the strategy breaks down due to overfitting, an update is made. The risk is high.

Shut the EA off, 30% of the my deposit vanished in 2 motnhs, never ever gonna use this EA again

I wish the EA performs better than this. Yes, this EA won't make your money disappear overnight, but it won't grow it either, that's my experience after trying it for a month. I hope the developer makes a breakthrough to improve its performance. I'll give another update in a month.

Great EA, but agree with the others that charts need to be consolidated into one. My VPS cannot handle it otherwise. I will update my review when this feature is included.

For now, I can't give a positive review to Pips Hunter, It has been almost two months since I purchased and started running it from the initial release.

The first few days seemed promising, but only those first few days. Later, two significant SL events drastically reduced my account balance. Using the settings from the configuration set, I ultimately lost $4300, The reversal EA doesn't seem to work well with the AUD. The AUD kept breaking through, and the EA seemed to be stubbornly opposing currency pairs related to the AUD, continuously opening positions and repeatedly hitting SL. After the second major SL,I want to give it another chance,so I reduced the risk and switched to a fixed lot size, but now floating a loss of $3000, if the SL is hit, I might lose $4000, and the final cost of using this EA would be over $8000. I think it's time for me to stop using it.

Have had some successful trades already after just a few days, matching the backtest. I have been using another EA from this author with success as well. Giving 4 stars because of the lack of a One Chart Setup, to run all symbols from one chart. Having to open an individual chart for each symbol is seriously cumbersome and slowing down my VPS to the point where it keeps crashing, and I will now likely have to upgrade my RAM and therefore spend at least twice as much money each month on the VPS. There are several EAs which manage to run all symbols from one chart, so we know it is possible. I hope the author can spend time upgrading his EAs to do it as well.

Okay so far I'm a little disappointed with this EA for a handful of reasons - First it just took a big bunch of losses all in a row (It matches the live signal of the author). Obviously thats just unlucky timing, but still, its never nice to lose money so soon with an EA - hopefully it will continue up afterwards.

Second reason - This is another reversal EA by Ihor. So with this EA, Swing master, Bomber Corp, and One Man Army - it's getting a little tedious that they all essentially try to do the same thing and trade reversals, just all in slightly different ways. It does make me wonder if its just a bit of a cash grab at this point releasing new EA's each time. Surely if theyre all trying to do reversals, these could have all just been updates essentially to swing master or another EA. Many other authors add new strategys to existing EA's, without releasing a full new EA.

On this same note im also a little disappointed that the name of the live signal being Pips Hunter Scalper, i was expecting a quick scalp strategy, taking small often profits, but really it seems to just do the same as IHOR other EA's. In theory I could get rid of all the others, just run One Man Army Double Shot (The best one IMO) with a higher risk and lot size and have saved the money on the others.

Anyway, my review is Neutral so far. It wouldnt be fair to give it a 1 star, as hopefully it will make money in the long run - but there's still the disappointments as listed above.

Got this at launch because Ihor is simply that good at creating reversion EAs. Keen to test this one out as well before adding to my portfolio proper. So far from backtests seems like Razor is the one with best Return/DD and decent CAGR and net profit, and knife is most diversified. will test more and see. and is good to note that Ihor does not simply abandon his previous EAs, he constantly updates them too while creating new ones. When does he sleep? nobody knows...one thing though Ihor, would be good if you can consolidate all the forex pairs into one chart so that we only need to open one chart and load one set file (you can combine the set files into 1 set file with different symbol fields), this way my VPS wont be overloaded running way too many charts because many of us run several of your EAs...
