Do you want to take MetaTrader 5 data into Excel, Python, backtesting or machine learning without wasting time cleaning awkward exports?
Candle History Exporter is built to turn candle history from the current symbol into clear, configurable CSV files that are ready for research, automation and quantitative analysis.
You can export one or multiple timeframes inside a chosen date range, with the option to use the current server time automatically as the default end date. The script now also lets you choose exactly which columns to export directly from the inputs, while keeping a complete and practical output enabled by default.
Main Features
- Exports candle history from the current chart symbol.
- Supports multiple minute, hourly, daily, weekly and monthly timeframes.
- Uses the current server time as the default end date, with an optional custom end date.
- Lets you enable or disable every output column from the script inputs.
- All columns are enabled by default for a richer dataset.
- Supports optional export of time, open, high, low, close, volume, spread and day_of_week.
- Exports spread per candle for deeper market context.
- Can save files in the terminal Files folder or in the shared Common Files folder.
- Includes a mixed-history cleanup step for safer exports in some timeframes.
What You Can Use It For
- Preparing datasets for machine learning applied to trading.
- Studying intraday behavior by hour or day of week.
- Building Python, pandas or notebook-based research workflows.
- Creating external backtesting datasets.
- Reviewing historical spread conditions.
- Turning chart data into inputs for AI, statistics or quantitative research.
How To Use
- Open the chart symbol you want to export.
- If you need deeper history, load more candles first, for example by switching to a higher timeframe such as D1 and pressing Ctrl+Home.
- Run Candle History Exporter.
- Select the timeframes, date range and output columns you want.
- Wait for the completion message and then open the generated CSV files.
Important Notes
- This product is a script / utility. It does not trade and does not generate signals.
- Export quality depends on the amount of history already loaded in the terminal.
- Different brokers may provide different history depth, volume values and spread conditions.
