Quantitative Athena Scalping

I’ve tested Quantitative Athena Scalping extensively and analyzed it via www.Autostrat.io, including all set files from the developer. For my setup, only "QAS1_80_No_martingalv_longOnly_h19" delivered stable results, while the others showed higher risk or crashed with my initial balance (1.000€). Positives are the very high win rate (~94%), a profit factor above 3, and consistent small gains. On the downside, the equity drawdown exceeds 30%, mainly due to no stop-loss and long-held positions, and the risk-reward is clearly asymmetric with larger losses than wins. Overall, it’s one of the better free EAs, but requires careful risk management and enough capital—I’ll continue testing it live.

I have been testing Quantitative Athena Scalping for some time on XAUUSD M1 with a low-spread broker. The EA trades selectively and does not overtrade like many scalpers, which I personally appreciate. Entries seem to rely on volatility and momentum filters rather than constant grid activity. Performance is stable during ranging market conditions, but users should understand that the EA does not use a traditional stop loss and risk management settings are important. It requires proper broker conditions and patience, as trade frequency can be low at times. Overall, it looks like a well-structured scalping system, but it is not a “set and forget” robot — configuration and realistic expectations are necessary.

This EA is truly one of the best on the MQL5 market. Considering that it’s completely free, I would confidently say it ranks as number one in its category. The performance and stability are impressive, especially for a free product. I also learned that Athena Scalper is a light/limited version of Quantitative Trailing Scalper MT5, which makes the author’s approach even more remarkable. Offering a free version allows traders to test the strategy in real market conditions before committing to the full, unlimited version. That level of transparency and confidence in the product is rare and highly appreciated. On top of that, the support is outstanding. Every question I had was answered promptly and clearly. It’s obvious that the developer genuinely cares about users and stands behind their work. Highly recommended!

Just in less than 36 hours on 100k cents with Exness, the default settings recommended by the developer, so the bot made equal to $100 to the end of the day, and yesterday with the drop in the XAUUSD, the account worth 110K USDC got margin stopped out to $0. Don't believe everything you read and see here, guys; be careful...

This EA is remarkable! Incredible logic, many configurations, easy to find safe sets but even with agressive grid - EA not tryies to blow up Your account. Without stupid moves against trend, quiet when market isn't stable - congratulations for Author !!!

I have been using the EA QAS-1.80 since 12.01.26 on 2 live accounts and have fine-tuned the set file on the 5-minute chart XAUUSD. The result is simply incredible. Here is an excerpt from the report. Profit factor: 10.81 Expected result: 7.32 Recovery factor: 13.95 Sharpe ratio: 0.26 Account drawdown: Absolute account drawdown: 0.00 Maximum account drawdown: 252.96 (26.85%) Relative account drawdown: 26.85% (252.96) Total number of trades: 482 Sell positions (of which won %): 0 (0.00%) Buy positions (of which won %): 482 (97.72%) Thanks for the amazing work. A trailing stop would make the EA perfect and it would probably run like Swiss clockwork.

I have been testing the bot on both 2-decimal and 3-decimal demo accounts with different brokers, using the recommended set file you provided for XAUUSD. However, I observed that the EA does not take trades simultaneously on both accounts. At times, the EA executes trades on one broker, while at the same moment it does not execute any trades on the other broker. Please suggest whether this EA is better suited for use on 2-decimal or 3-decimal accounts, and if any specific adjustments are required.
