Power Bar marks the candles that matter: unusually large, with a strong body and a close near the extreme. Then it answers the question every trader asks next: after a candle like this, does the move usually continue on this market and timeframe? The answer is measured on the chart's own history and shown in the panel.

What is a power bar

A range of at least 1.8 times the ATR of the bars before it (adjustable)
A body of at least 60 % of the range and a close in the top 25 % (bullish) or bottom 25 % (bearish) of the candle
Optional tick volume filter: only candles with volume above N times the recent average
Only closed candles are analysed: a power bar never appears and then disappears

Built-in history test

For every power bar in the analysed history: did the price reach the target (1 ATR beyond the close by default) before coming back to the middle of the candle?
Continuation rate overall and separately for bullish and bearish power bars
Average follow-through in ATRs, and the number of undecided cases
Arrows coloured by outcome: green continued, red failed, grey undecided, white still running
Change the horizon and the target and see the statistics update: find what works on each market
The engine is unit tested (350 checks against an independent reference) and every live signal was re-checked by separate code

Latest power bar

Highlighted candle, mid-point line (invalidation) and target line
Status in the panel: ACTIVE, TARGET HIT, FAILED or EXPIRED
The last power bar on four more timeframes (M15, H1, H4, D1 by default)
