Session Breakout MT5 Trading Capital P draws the range of up to three trading sessions, such as the Asian range, the London open or the New York 15-minute opening range, extends it to a cut-off time and marks every breakout on the close of a candle. It is free, with no limits, and it never repaints.
Your sessions, in their own clock
- Up to 3 sessions, each with its own name, range hours, breakout window end, colour and alert switch
- Hours in broker server time, UTC, New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney or a custom UTC offset. New York, London and Sydney follow their own summer time, also in the weeks when the US and Europe change clocks on different dates
- Ready to use: Asia range 00:00-06:00 UTC, London open 08:00-09:00 London time, New York opening range 09:30-09:45 New York time
- Ranges that cross midnight, weekends, holidays and missing candles are handled
Breakouts on candle close, no repainting
- Only closed candles are analysed. A range is used once its last candle has closed, and an arrow is placed on the candle whose close confirmed the breakout. It never moves afterwards
- Optional buffer beyond the range in points or in % of ATR(14)
- Only the first breakout per side per day, or every new breakout after a close back inside the range: your choice
- Optional retest marks: a wick back to the broken level with a close still beyond it
Targets and stop reference
- Up to three range-multiple targets on both sides (1x and 2x by default), with a mark where a target was reached
- Stop reference at the opposite side of the range or at its middle
- Optional 50% line of the range
Panel with statistics per session
- Today's range: high, low, size in points and as a share of the average daily range
- Status: forming, inside, broken up or broken down with the time, targets reached
- Statistics of the last N finished days (50 by default): share of days with a breakout, share of first breakouts that reached 1x the range before the opposite side, average range
- Movable and minimisable, remembers its position
Alerts and automation
- Alerts on closed candles: breakout up or down, retest, target reached. Pop-up, sound, push notification and e-mail, with a switch per session
- 9 buffers for Expert Advisors: range high, range low and breakout signal (+1 / -1) for each session, indexes listed in the user guide
Light and tidy
- Recalculates once per new candle, not on every tick
- Every object is removed with the indicator
- Works on H1 and lower timeframes (M1 to H1) on any symbol: forex, gold, indices, crypto. Above H1 it shows a note and draws nothing

- Clock: custom UTC offset, broker daylight saving rule, broker winter offset for the Strategy Tester
- Breakout rules: buffer (none, points, % of ATR), first breakout only, retests
- Targets and stop: multiples, stop reference; display: days drawn, 50% line, labels, colours
- Panel: corner, position, statistics days, ADR days; alerts: types and channels
