Structure Stop answers one question on every chart: where does the market structure say my stop should be? It keeps a stop level under the last confirmed swing low in a buy phase and above the last confirmed swing high in a sell phase, moves it only toward less risk, and tells you when it is broken.
How the stop works
- Swings are confirmed with bars on the left and on the right (3 / 3 by default)
- BUY phase: the stop sits under the last swing low; when a new, higher swing low is confirmed the stop moves up. It never moves down
- SELL phase: the stop sits above the last swing high and only moves down
- When a candle closes beyond the stop (or touches it with a wick, if you prefer) the phase turns and the new stop goes beyond the opposite swing and the breaking candle
- Optional extra distance beyond the swing in points and as a share of the ATR, so the stop is not on the exact swing price
- Only closed candles move or break the stop: no repainting. The engine is unit tested (185 checks against an independent reference) and the live values were checked on 2,400 real bars
On the chart
- Stepped stop line: green under the price in a buy phase, red above it in a sell phase
- A dot on each candle that broke the stop
- A label at the current stop with its price and its distance in % of the average daily range
Panel
- Phase, stop level and distance in points and in % ADR (warning colour when the price gets close)
- Status: NEW stop, VALID, or price beyond the stop on the open candle
- When the stop was set, and the swing that defines it
- Lot size that risks your chosen % of the balance if the stop is hit
- The phase and stop on four timeframes (M15, H1, H4, D1 by default)
Alerts and automation
- On closed bars: new stop level, stop broken (phase turns), price closed near the stop
- Pop-up, push notification and e-mail
- Buffers for Expert Advisors: buy stop, sell stop, broken dots, stop of either side and direction (+1 / -1)
Use it your way
- As the stop for a manual trade: place it on the line and follow it as it steps
- As a trend filter: trade only in the direction of the phase on the higher timeframes
- Movable panel, every object is removed with the indicator

- Display: buy / sell colours, line width, broken dots, label
- Panel: show, corner, distance, risk % for the lot size, NEW for N bars, ADR days, four timeframes

The indicator shows a level; it does not open, close or modify trades. A stop limits a loss only if you place it in your order.
