It is built on the classic Stochastic oscillator (%K, %D, slowing), extended with multi-timeframe calculation and step-by-step filtering. An arrow appears only when a line crossover passes every filter you enabled.

Who it is for

Manual traders using momentum and mean-reversion setups, especially those who work across several timeframes and want the higher-TF Stochastic on the working chart without switching windows. It fits any style, from scalping to swing trading.

How it works

  • Main %K line (teal) and signal %D line (red dotted) — in a subwindow with 20/80 levels.
  • BUY arrow (Aqua) — below the candle and in the subwindow.
  • SELL arrow (Magenta) — above the candle and in the subwindow.

Filters

  1. EMA trend — fast EMA above slow allows buys only, below allows sells only. Periods, method (SMA/EMA/SMMA/LWMA) and price are adjustable.
  2. Zones — BUY only when %K or %D is oversold, SELL only when overbought.
  3. Zone exit — signal only at the moment a line crosses 20 or 80 on its way out of the zone.
  4. Candle confirmation — BUY only on a bullish candle, SELL only on a bearish one.

Plus a minimum distance between signals in bars, which prevents arrow clusters during volatile periods.

Multi-timeframe mode

The Stochastic is calculated on the selected timeframe and stretched onto the current chart. While a higher-TF candle is still open, its value keeps forming, so confirm an arrow inside it after that candle closes. On the current timeframe, with SignalOnBarClose = true, arrows are placed on closed candles only.

How to trade

  • Buy: BUY arrow out of oversold. Stop below the signal candle's low or the last swing low.
  • Sell: SELL arrow out of overbought. Stop above the signal candle's high or the last swing high.
  • Exit: opposite arrow, or the Stochastic reaching the opposite zone.

Good pairings: H1 calculation with M5–M15 entries, or H4 calculation with H1 entries. The EMA filter keeps you on the trend side.

Alerts and automation

  • Alerts — terminal pop-up with symbol, timeframe and Stochastic value, once per signal.
  • 4 buffers for iCustom: 0 — %K, 1 — %D, 2 — BUY, 3 — SELL (empty = EMPTY_VALUE). They work even with arrows turned off.

Main settings

  • Stochastic: calculation timeframe, %K and %D periods, slowing, averaging method, price field (High/Low or Close/Close).
  • Filters: zones and 20/80 levels, zone exit, signal on bar close only, minimum bars between signals, candle confirmation.
  • EMA: on/off, fast and slow periods, method, price.
  • Display: arrows on/off, arrow offset, alerts, logging.
