Aquila Gold EA - Multi-MA Breakout with Martingale Recovery
Aquila Gold EA is a professional automated trading system that uses a dual Simple Moving Average breakout strategy with intelligent Martingale recovery to trade gold instruments on the H1 timeframe. The EA detects breakouts above the SMA(High) channel and below the SMA(Low) channel, confirmed by an RSI momentum filter, then manages positions through a progressive grid with 7 individually configurable distance tiers and exponential lot scaling. A built-in live News Filter fetches the economic calendar in real-time and automatically pauses trading around high-impact events. An interactive on-chart dashboard provides full visibility into account status, series state, signals, and one-click order management.

KEY FEATURES

RISK CONTROLS
- Max Drawdown: Closes all positions when equity drawdown exceeds the configured percentage (default 50%, 0 = disabled)
- Daily Loss Limit: Stops trading when daily losses exceed the configured percentage (default 0 = disabled)
- Max Open Orders: Hard cap on total open positions across buy and sell sides (default 20)
- Max Lot Size: Hard cap on per-order lot size to prevent runaway martingale exposure (default 100.0 lots)
- Spread Filter: MaxSpread blocks new entries when spread exceeds your limit (default 50 points)
- Margin Validation: EA validates free margin before every order and rejects if insufficient
- Time Filter: Optional hour-based trading restriction to limit exposure to specific market sessions
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Use an ECN broker with tight gold spreads (under 50 points) for best execution
- Run on a VPS for uninterrupted 24/5 operation, especially for grid management continuity
- Start with a demo account and run for 2-4 weeks before going live
- Enable the News Filter and add the WebRequest URL in platform settings (Tools > Options > Expert Advisors)
- Keep Max Martingale Levels at conservative values (5-7) until you understand the grid behavior and capital requirements
- Use one EA instance per chart with a unique Magic Number for each
- Set Max Drawdown to 30-40% as a safety net while learning the system
- Test different Lot Multiplier values (1.5x is more conservative than the default 2.0x)
