Gann Gold Scalp
- Indicators
- Version: 1.0
- Activations: 20
Gann Gold Scalp is a gold scalping indicator for MetaTrader 5 that shows where to open, where to take profit and where the stop loss is, on the Gann levels of the day, the week and the month.
Clear BUY and SELL signals, two entries, TARGET 1 and TARGET 2, the STOP, chart alerts and push notifications.
No repaint. Made for XAUUSD on M5, and it works the same way on forex, indices, stocks and crypto such as Bitcoin, on every timeframe.
Where to open, where to close
Between the Gann levels the indicator draws the battle zones, where buyers and sellers meet. They are support and resistance zones you can see at a glance: the zone closest to the price is the brightest, and the zones further away fade out.
When price breaks out of one zone into the next, the signal is on:
- BUY 1 and BUY 2 (or SELL 1 and SELL 2): the two places to enter.
- TARGET 1 and TARGET 2: the two places to take profit. When a target is reached it is marked with a check mark. If the move goes on in the same direction, the next targets appear as TARGET 3, TARGET 4 and so on.
- STOP: the approximate price at which the opposite zone would break. You know it before you open the trade. If a candle closes beyond it, the STOP is marked HIT.
- The signal candles are coloured, and two paths show the way to TARGET 2 and the way back to the entry.
A signal is based on closed candles. Once it appears, it stays where it is. It does not repaint.
One board: the day, the week and the month
The board shows the three periods on one panel:
- BUY, SELL or WAIT for the day, the week and the month
- which targets have been reached, the distance to the next target and to the stop (in pips on forex)
- how much time is left in the current period
Click a row and the chart opens on the timeframe for it: M5 for the day, H1 for the week, H4 for the month. The board finds a corner of the chart where it does not cover the signal, or you can fix it in a corner of your choice.
The chart chooses the levels
There are no buttons to press. On timeframes below H1 the indicator shows the daily levels, from H1 to H3 the weekly levels, and from H4 up the monthly levels. Scalpers on M1 and M5 work with the day, swing traders on H1 and H4 with the week and the month.
Between the signals
- No signal yet? "Next up" and "Next down" show the nearest levels above and below the price, so you know where the next move starts.
- When the period has used up its zones, the chart says so ("Top reached" or "Bottom reached", the time left in the period, and the next level to watch on the bigger timeframe).
- When a move is close to its end, the indicator warns that the market may turn.
Alerts
- Alerts on the chart: a popup with sound.
- Push notifications to the MetaTrader app on your phone.
Both report the same three events: a new signal (with its targets and stop), a target reached, the stop hit. Both are off by default; turn them on in the inputs. For push notifications, enter your MetaQuotes ID in Tools > Options > Notifications.
Colour themes
Six themes set the colours of the whole chart and of the indicator: Black (the default), Paper (white background), Gold, Ocean, Slate and Neon. When you remove the indicator, the chart gets its own colours back.

Good to know
Gann Gold Scalp works on every symbol and every timeframe. It uses the daily, weekly and monthly history of the symbol. If the terminal does not have this history yet, a message on the chart explains what to do. In the Strategy Tester, choose a start date at least one period earlier than the part you want to see, so that the levels of the previous period are available. Alerts and push notifications are not sent in the Strategy Tester.
The screenshots show real signals on gold, Bitcoin and forex pairs. The figures on them are distances from the entry to the targets and to the stop. They are examples, not a promise of any result. Trading involves risk; always use your own risk rules.
