Artemis Gold ORB Edge EA for MT5
Artemis Gold ORB Edge EA is an intelligent XAUUSD Opening Range Breakout system built specifically for MetaTrader 5.
Instead of relying on a basic fixed breakout rule, Artemis evaluates the quality of each opening range, the strength of the breakout, the wider session context and how price behaves after the range is formed. The aim is to avoid weaker setups, react more intelligently to changing Gold conditions and manage strong moves with more flexibility.

Three preset files are included for London + New York OCO, London OCO and New York OCO, making it easy to switch session styles without rebuilding the strategy manually.
Intelligent Gold ORB Engine
Gold ORB Edge uses an adaptive approach to the opening range rather than treating every session in the same way. The EA can identify whether the ORB is healthy, extended or extreme, then apply additional intelligence around breakout strength, opening drive, retests, failed breaks, session context, directional bias and setup age.
This allows strong wider-range opportunities to remain tradable when the conditions support them, while weak, stale or overextended setups can be filtered out.
OCO Straddle is the recommended default trading mode, with additional modes available for traders who prefer a more conservative, momentum, retest or confirmed-breakout approach.
Smart Profit Management
Profit taking can be tailored to the trader rather than forcing everyone into one exit style.
Standard uses Artemis-managed targets, Earlier Profit is designed to secure gains sooner, Extended gives stronger Gold moves more room to develop, and Custom allows the trader to set their own TP and SL using Gold price movement.
Trade management can also be run using Protected, Balanced or Runner profiles. Artemis then manages the underlying break-even, partial-profit and trailing behaviour automatically according to the selected profile.
Prop Firm Ready
Gold ORB Edge has been designed with prop-firm style account rules in mind.
The dedicated Prop Guard can apply a daily drawdown limit, automatically close EA positions when that limit is reached, enforce an optional daily profit target and stop new trading once the target has been achieved.
Separate core risk controls remain active even when Prop Guard is disabled, including a daily trade limit, consecutive-loss protection, emergency drawdown protection, risk-based position sizing and reduced risk during high-volatility conditions.
This allows the EA to be used on both normal trading accounts and accounts operating under tighter trading rules.
Integrated News Guard
Gold is particularly sensitive to major USD economic releases, so Gold ORB Edge includes an integrated News Guard.
The EA can use the MT5 Economic Calendar or an external news API and can independently protect against High, Medium and Low impact events. Traders can control how long before and after an event new entries are blocked.
For external feeds, the user can enter an API URL, API key and header directly in the EA settings. Gold ORB Edge then uses that feed as part of its protection layer, with USD events prioritised for XAUUSD.
Gold Shock Guard
News protection is backed up by a separate Gold-specific volatility layer.
The Gold Shock Guard monitors abnormal candle expansion, sudden volatility and spread behaviour. If conditions become unusually unstable, Artemis can hold back new entries until the market becomes more suitable again.
This provides protection against sudden Gold behaviour even when the move is not linked to a scheduled economic event.
Command Deck and Artemis Copilot
The graphical Command Deck provides a live view of the EA’s current state, including the active ORB, market conditions, trade management, risk status, News Guard, Prop Guard and overall protection state.
Artemis Copilot explains what the EA is doing in plain language, while the dedicated Next ORB countdown shows which enabled session is coming next and how long remains before it begins.
Optional Advanced Chart Features can also show additional information such as opening-drive state, ORB quality, directional bias, failed-break status, active profit profile and setup expiry.
