Birdie Eagle is a professional breakout Expert Advisor designed primarily for XAUUSD (Gold) trading on MetaTrader 5.
The EA combines structured price-breakout detection with strict trade execution, position protection, break-even management, adaptive trailing logic, session control, news protection, and account-level risk management.
Birdie Eagle is built around a simple philosophy:
One setup. One controlled trade. Defined risk. No grid. No martingale. No averaging recovery.
Birdie Eagle monitors recent market structure and identifies potential breakout opportunities using confirmed closed-bar data.
The EA calculates the highest and lowest price levels within a configurable historical lookback and prepares breakout entries around those levels.
Birdie Eagle is designed as a controlled One-Shot trading system.
When one breakout side becomes an active position, the EA can automatically remove the opposite pending order.
The strategy does not intentionally use:
Grid trading
Martingale
Lot recovery
Averaging down
Unlimited position layering
Basket recovery systems
Each trade is treated as an independent trading opportunity.
The breakout engine includes configurable parameters for:
Signal timeframe
Breakout lookback period
Entry buffer
Pending-order repricing
Pending expiration
Signal expiration
Directional activation
Execution retry
The signal engine and execution engine operate independently.
This allows Birdie Eagle to preserve a valid trading setup while retrying an order if temporary broker conditions prevent immediate execution.
Break-Even Protection
Birdie Eagle includes configurable break-even management.
Parameters include:
Break-even activation distance
Profit lock distance
Once the required profit threshold is reached, the EA can move Stop Loss beyond the original entry price to reduce exposure while keeping the trade active.
Loose Trailing Stop
The EA uses a configurable trailing system designed to give Gold sufficient room to move.
Trailing parameters include:
Trailing activation
Trailing distance
Trailing step
The trailing logic only attempts to improve the protective Stop Loss and does not intentionally move protection backward.
This allows strong breakout movements to continue while progressively protecting accumulated profit.
Broker-Aware Gold Normalization
Birdie Eagle is designed to handle different Gold quotation formats.
The EA automatically normalizes trading distances for common:
2-digit Gold symbols
3-digit Gold symbols
This normalization is applied to important trading parameters such as breakout distance, Stop Loss, Take Profit, break-even and trailing calculations.
Spread and execution deviation can also use normalized distance settings.
Trading Session Control
Birdie Eagle includes a configurable daily trading session.
Users can define:
Trading start time
Trading close time
Pending-order deletion at session close
Position closing at session close
All trading-time calculations use broker/server time.
This allows the EA to be adapted to different broker environments.
Friday Protection
Weekend exposure can be controlled independently.
Birdie Eagle can:
Stop opening new trades
Delete pending orders
Close active positions
at a configurable Friday time.
Daily Account Protection
Birdie Eagle includes several optional daily protection mechanisms:
Daily profit target
Daily loss limit
Daily drawdown protection
When a protection limit is reached, the EA can lock further trading for the current trading day.
These controls are intended to complement normal position-level Stop Loss protection.
Money Management
Birdie Eagle supports:
Fixed Lot
Use a manually selected trading volume.
Risk Percentage
Calculate position size according to the configured percentage of account risk and the defined Stop Loss distance.
The EA also applies broker-specific checks including:
Minimum volume
Maximum volume
Volume step
Margin availability
Stop-level restrictions
Freeze-level restrictions
