Key Market Zones and Levels is an advanced market structure indicator for MetaTrader 5 that automatically identifies significant support and resistance zones, evaluates their quality, and analyzes the current market context.
Instead of displaying dozens of separate horizontal lines at every local high and low, the indicator groups related price levels into meaningful zones based on market structure, historical price reactions, impulse origins, and multi-timeframe analysis.
The result is a structured price map that helps traders identify important market areas, assess their relative significance, and understand how the current price action relates to the broader market structure.

1. Automatic Market Zone Detection
Key Market Zones and Levels analyzes historical price data to identify areas that may be significant for market participants.
The calculation can incorporate:
-
Local and historical swing highs and lows.
-
Impulse base areas.
-
Repeated price reactions.
-
Support and resistance role reversals.
-
Significant market structure levels.
-
Confluence between levels identified on different timeframes.
Nearby levels can be combined into a single zone, reducing chart clutter and making the overall price structure easier to interpret.
You can enable or disable the following timeframes in the indicator settings:
H1 / H4 / D1 / W1 / MN1
2. Working Zone
The Working Zone represents the primary price area currently considered relevant by the indicator.
For example:
Working Zone: 28950.01–29146.91
Context: Support
This means that the displayed range is currently classified as a support area in the indicator's market context.
A Working Zone is a price range, not a single exact level. Its boundaries reflect an area where significant price levels and historical market reactions have been concentrated.
3. Support and Resistance
The indicator identifies significant support and resistance areas relative to the current market price.
-
Support — a relevant support zone below or near the current price.
-
Resistance — a relevant resistance zone above or near the current price.
These zones help traders locate areas that may deserve closer attention when evaluating potential market scenarios.
A support or resistance zone does not guarantee a reversal. Price can react, consolidate, or break through the zone.
4. Zone Quality
The Quality score evaluates the characteristics of an entire zone on a scale from 0 to 100.
The score is accompanied by a descriptive category:
-
Weak — limited supporting characteristics.
-
Fair — moderate supporting characteristics.
-
Good — favorable zone characteristics.
-
Strong — a zone with stronger supporting characteristics.
Example:
Fair 54/100
This indicates that the zone has identifiable supporting characteristics but is not classified among the strongest zones.
Quality is a relative zone assessment. It is not a probability of reversal, a forecast of price direction, or a trading signal.
5. Reaction Core
A wide price zone may contain areas with different concentrations of historical reactions.
The Reaction Core identifies the part of the Working Zone where the most significant historical price reactions are concentrated.
For example:
Reaction Core: 29127.22–29146.91
Concentration: 70% · High
This highlights the section of the zone with a high concentration rating according to the indicator's calculation.
Concentration categories include:
-
Low — lower relative concentration.
-
Medium — moderate relative concentration.
-
High — higher relative concentration.
The Working Zone identifies the broader area of interest, while the Reaction Core highlights the more concentrated section within it.
6. Zone Status
The Status field describes the current state of a selected zone.
Depending on market interaction, a zone may be untested, under testing, associated with confirmed reactions, or affected by a breakout.
This information helps distinguish newly identified areas from zones that have already been tested by the market.
7. WHY — Understanding the Origin of a Zone
The WHY section provides information about the structural characteristics that contributed to identifying a zone.
For example:
Impulse Base — the zone is associated with the base of a significant directional price movement.
Where available, the indicator also displays additional level characteristics and the timeframes on which the relevant levels were identified.
This provides more context for interpreting a zone instead of relying solely on its visual position on the chart.
8. REACTIONS — Historical Interaction Statistics
The REACTIONS section summarizes the detected interactions between price and a selected zone.
For example:
Confirmed 1 of 4 tests
This means that one of the four detected tests met the indicator's criteria for a confirmed reaction.
Reaction statistics provide historical context for evaluating a zone. They do not guarantee that future interactions will produce similar results.
9. NEARBY — The Closest Significant Zones
The NEARBY section displays the significant support and resistance areas closest to the current price.
-
Resistance — the nearest relevant resistance area.
-
Support — the nearest relevant support area.
This helps traders quickly understand the price's position relative to nearby market zones and identify the surrounding structure.
10. MARKET — Market Structure Analysis
Key Market Zones and Levels also evaluates the current market structure, providing additional context beyond support and resistance.
Trend and Local Trend
These fields describe the direction of the broader or local market structure.
-
Bullish — upward structural bias.
-
Bearish — downward structural bias.
-
Neutral — neutral or transitional structure.
Trend assessment incorporates market structure and significant swing levels rather than relying solely on the price's position relative to a moving average.
State
The State field describes the current phase of market movement.
-
Expansion — development of a directional move.
-
Pullback — a corrective move within the existing structure.
-
Range — price movement within a range.
-
Transition — a transitional market state.
For example:
Trend: Bullish
State: Pullback
This combination indicates that the broader structure remains bullish while the market is undergoing a correction.
Momentum
Momentum describes the shorter-term direction of price movement.
It may differ from the main trend, helping distinguish a temporary change in momentum from a broader structural change.
Trend Score
The Trend Score provides a numerical assessment of the current structural bias on a scale from -100 to +100.
-
Positive values indicate a bullish bias.
-
Negative values indicate a bearish bias.
-
Values around zero indicate a less pronounced or transitional structure.
Structure
The Structure field identifies the price level relevant to maintaining the current structural scenario.
For example:
Bullish while 7725.8 holds
This indicates that the bullish structural scenario remains valid according to the indicator's assessment while the specified structural level holds.
Similarly, a bearish structural condition identifies the level relevant to maintaining the bearish scenario.
This allows traders to assess not only the current structural interpretation but also the price level that may invalidate it.

How to Use Key Market Zones and Levels
The indicator can be used as a standalone market analysis tool or as an additional analytical component within an existing trading strategy.
Typical applications include:
-
Mapping significant support and resistance areas.
-
Evaluating the relative quality of identified zones.
-
Examining the most concentrated reaction areas within wider zones.
-
Monitoring price interactions with previously identified zones.
-
Assessing the current market structure and momentum.
-
Identifying nearby areas that may be relevant to a trading scenario.
-
Adding structural context to an existing trading system.
The indicator does not generate ready-made BUY or SELL signals and does not automatically recommend entering a trade when the price reaches a zone.
Its purpose is to organize market information, explain the characteristics of significant price areas, and support independent trading analysis.
