MAGNUM — Gold Trend EA (XAUUSD M30)

MAGNUM trades gold on the M30 chart. It waits until price leads its own recent history, checks the move from a second angle and against the day and week open, and only then opens one position — with a hard stop and a fixed take-profit sent together with the order. No grid, no martingale, no averaging.

HOW IT WORKS

Leadership entry: the close is ranked against its own last 120 bars; a buy needs the top part of its recent readings, a sell the bottom part.
Second witness: the typical price must agree, ranked over 64 bars.
Anchors: a buy only above both the day open and the week open, a sell only below both.
Volatility corridor: no new trades when ATR is far below or far above its normal level.
One position, fixed exits: stop 1.25 ATR and take-profit 3.0 ATR (reward:risk 2.4), both placed with the order.
Safety: 12-hour time limit, flat before the daily session close, a pause after a losing trade, spread guard, balance breaker.

Most of the profit comes from 2025–2026, a strong trending period for gold. 2016–2024 is close to flat: small gains in some years, small losses in others.
About 41 % of trades win; wins are larger than losses because the take-profit is 2.4 times the stop. Runs of several losing trades are normal.
The lot is set from the starting balance; the Aggressive preset doubles both profit and drawdown.
