I'm Dan, a UK-based trader and the builder behind PrecisionFX. I'm a disabled veteran, and I came to trading the same way many people do — looking for a way to build an income on my own terms. What I found instead was two years of overpriced courses, $1,500 EAs hiding martingale under the bonnet - Version: 1.40
Copy trades between MetaTrader 5 terminals on the same computer. Free, and no DLL, no internet connection, no subscription.
One EA does both jobs. Attach it as a TRANSMITTER on the account you trade, and as a RECEIVER on every account that should follow.
SETUP - four steps
- Attach to any one chart on the account you copy FROM. Set Mode = Transmitter.
- Attach to any one chart on each account that should follow. Set Mode = Receiver.
- Give every terminal the SAME Channel ID. That is the only thing that pairs them.
- Enable Algo Trading on every terminal.
The chart symbol and timeframe do not matter on either side - the copier works account-wide, not chart-wide.
WHAT IT COPIES
- Market orders and pending orders
- Stop loss and take profit, live - a move to breakeven follows across
- PARTIAL CLOSES - TP1/TP2 scale-outs are mirrored proportionally
- Full closes
Partial-close mirroring matters more than it sounds. If the source runs a scale-out model, a copier that only syncs the final exit will hold full size all the way to it - so a trade that banks half at target and stops the rest at breakeven is a winner on one account and flat on the other. This one mirrors the proportion: sender closes half, receiver closes half of what it opened.
SIZING
Match the sender exactly, or multiply by any factor

Percent of this account's balance or equity
Risk a fixed percent, sized from the sender's stop distance
Match the sender's risk percent on your balance
Every result is clamped to the broker's lot step, minimum and maximum.
SAFETY
- Pause copying on daily loss, account drawdown, or the SENDER's drawdown
- Restrict copying to chosen days and a time window
- Copy only trades from specific EAs by magic number
- Hard lot floor and ceiling, independent of the broker's
BUILT TO BE DIAGNOSED
MetaTrader cannot grey out a setting, so on a transmitter the whole receiver half of the dialog looks just as live as the half that matters. Every setting is tagged TX or RX, and on every start the EA prints to the Experts tab exactly which settings are inert in your configuration and why. That report is generated from the code, so it cannot fall out of date.
There is also an on-chart panel showing mode, channel, connection state, copies made and errors.
LIMITS - stated up front
- Both terminals must be on the SAME computer. It shares a local file, so this is not a remote or VPS-to-VPS copier.
- It cannot be backtested. It needs two live terminals and a shared file, and the Strategy Tester provides neither - loaded there it runs inert and says so rather than pretending.
- One instance per account. Two receivers on one account will copy every trade twice.
- Splitting a copy into parts disables partial-close mirroring, because each part sits near the minimum lot and a proportional reduction would round to a full exit.
REQUIREMENTS
MetaTrader 5. Both terminals on one Windows machine. Algo Trading enabled. Hedging and netting accounts both supported.

I am a disabled veteran and a retail trader, not a software house. I built this because I needed it - I run several accounts and the copiers I could find were either expensive, on a subscription, or wanted a DLL and an internet connection for a job that only ever happens between two terminals on my own desk.

Everything I publish is free, and always will be. Not a trial, not a cut-down version - the whole thing, with the manual and the presets.
When I started, most of the tools I wanted cost more than my whole account, and on a fixed income that is not a small thing. So I make my living from trading and give the tools away.
