A patient, rule-based trend system for the DAX 40 — built for capital preservation: 2.34% maximum drawdown across four years of backtest.
Aureon DAX is a fully automated Expert Advisor for the DAX 40 index (DAX40 / GER40 / DE40). It trades long-only on H1, holds a single position at a time, and protects every trade with a real, server-side Stop Loss and Take Profit plus an automatic move to breakeven. It was developed with walk-forward (out-of-sample) validation to reduce curve-fitting and favor logic that generalizes.
Launch price: $199 — the price increases by $100 every 10 copies sold. Final price: $799.
Rent options available: $59 / 3 months · $119 / 1 year
Launch bonus: after purchasing, leave an honest review and contact me — you will receive AutoJournal MT5 (worth $45) free for 1 trade account.
This strategy is also included in Aureon Multi Strategy Portfolio I, together with three other uncorrelated markets. If you want single-market precision at the lowest entry price of the series, this EA is for you; if you want diversification, take a look at the Portfolio.
The rules are strict by design: no martingale, no grid, no averaging down. Every trade is protected by a real Stop Loss and Take Profit placed on the broker's server — never hidden — and the EA holds a single position at a time, with no stacking. It runs on both Hedging and Netting accounts.
The strategy
Aureon DAX is a trend-following system built on price action, session levels and volatility filters — no black box, no "AI magic" claims. Entries are evaluated on H1 and must align with the index's upward structural drift: the EA trades long-only, and when conditions are not met it simply stays out. Every position starts with an ATR-based Stop Loss and Take Profit, and the stop is moved to breakeven automatically once the trade has travelled far enough in profit.
The system is deliberately selective: it can stay flat for days or even weeks. That inactivity is protection, not malfunction — every trade it skips in a hostile market is drawdown you do not take.
Capital preservation first
This is the conservative profile of the Aureon series. In the full backtest (real ticks, $10,000 initial deposit, 2022-2026):
- Maximum equity drawdown: 2.34% (balance: 2.05%) — in more than four years
- Sharpe Ratio: 2.95 · Profit Factor: 1.24 · Recovery Factor: 2.59
- Net profit: +6.3% ($633) with the test's minimal-exposure configuration — the EA sizes every position from your Money Management inputs, so exposure scales to your own risk choice
- Steady equity curve across four years of very different DAX conditions
Backtest results are not real trading results and do not guarantee future performance.
Walk-forward validation
The strategy was developed and validated with walk-forward analysis: parameters are chosen on one segment of history and tested on the following, unseen segment, repeatedly. This out-of-sample discipline reduces the risk of curve-fitting and is the same reason the EA uses a small number of robust rules instead of dozens of optimized inputs.
Money Management
- Percent of equity — risk scales with your account as it grows or draws down (1% by default).
- Fixed money — each trade risks a fixed amount.
- Maximum lot cap — a hard safety ceiling on position size.
- Optional daily trade limit — caps how many trades can open per day.
Installation and use
- Attach the EA to a DAX 40 chart, H1 timeframe. Your broker's symbol may be called DAX40, GER40, DE40 or similar — any of them works.
- In MONEY MANAGEMENT, choose percent of equity (1% by default) or fixed money.
- Enable AutoTrading. That's it: the EA does the rest.
Recommendations
- ECN / raw-spread account with low spreads on the DAX 40.
- Leverage 1:100 or higher.
- A VPS for 24/5 operation.
- Recommended minimum deposit: $1,000 (the EA scales the lot size to your balance).
- Test first on a demo account to confirm the symbol name and the behavior with your broker.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
The EA has not opened a trade for several days. Is something wrong?
Most likely not. Aureon DAX is selective by design and can stay out of the market for days or weeks when its conditions are not met. Check that AutoTrading is enabled and the symbol is correct; if so, the EA is simply waiting.
Does it use martingale, grid or averaging?
No. One position at a time, fixed risk per trade, real Stop Loss and Take Profit on every position.
Which symbol should I attach it to?
Your broker's DAX 40 CFD: DAX40, GER40, DE40 or similar, on H1. The EA is designed for this index and timeframe only — using it on other symbols or timeframes is not supported.
Can I use it on a Netting account?
Yes. It works on both Hedging and Netting accounts.
Do I need a VPS?
Recommended. The EA manages positions with server-side SL/TP, so a short disconnection is not catastrophic, but a VPS guarantees it never misses an entry or the automatic breakeven adjustment.
What risk should I use?
The default 1% per trade is a solid starting point. Adjust the Money Management to your own risk tolerance.
Trading involves risk and can result in the loss of your capital. Test the EA on a demo account before using it live. Backtest results are not real trading results and do not guarantee future performance.
