Moon Alert for MT5 is designed for traders who incorporate lunar cycles or astrology into their market routine. It keeps the Moon’s current state directly on the chart and, most importantly, alerts you when a lunar phase or zodiac sign change occurs.

The compact Moon Ticker displays the current lunar phase, illumination, Moon age, zodiac sign, and degree. Expand the ticker to see countdowns and exact times for the next phase and sign change.

With built-in ephemeris data through 2050, no external downloads or data feeds are required.

Moon Event Alerts

Moon Alert notifies you when lunar events actually occur.

If MetaTrader was offline when an event took place, Moon Alert issues an alert after startup indicating that the Moon changed while the platform was offline.

Moon Ticker

The always-visible ticker shows:

• Moon phase glyph
• Waxing or waning state
• Illumination
• Moon age in days
• Zodiac sign
• Degree within the zodiac sign

Click the ticker to expand or collapse it.

The expanded view adds countdown timers and exact dates and times for the next Moon phase and zodiac sign change. Collapse it again whenever a cleaner chart is preferred.

Always Running — Even When Markets Sleep

Lunar cycles continue when the markets are closed. Moon Alert tracks lunar time independently of market ticks, so Moon information remains available during weekends and other market closures.

Times can be displayed in Local Time or GMT.

Built-In Ephemeris Through 2050

Moon Alert contains its ephemeris internally, based on NASA JPL DE ephemeris datasets.

There are no external downloads or updates required.

Moon Alert does not run normally in Strategy Tester, but Fixed Date Mode can be used there to check Moon data for selected dates through 2050. This also provides a simple way to verify that future ephemeris data is included.

Important: Live countdown timers and Moon alerts do not operate in Strategy Tester. Strategy Tester is intended for Fixed Date Mode only.

Who Is It For?

Moon Alert is designed for traders who are open to astrology and want to use lunar cycles as an additional way to structure or time their trading.

In Western astrology, the Moon is traditionally associated with emotions, changing moods, cycles, fear, greed, and shifts in sentiment. For traders who follow this approach, lunar events can be used as moments to reassess both the market environment and their own state of mind.

A simple way to use Moon Alert is similar to saying:

“It’s not my day.”

Instead, a trader might think:

“It’s not my Moon.”

Rather than forcing trades during a period that feels unfavorable, the trader can choose to wait for the next Moon event or sign change before reassessing the market.

No previous knowledge of astrology is required. Each Moon event simply marks a change in the lunar cycle. How the market behaves after that change is something the trader can observe and evaluate over time.

Moon Alert can also be used by Moon enthusiasts who simply want to follow the current phase, zodiac position, illumination, and upcoming lunar events directly from MetaTrader.

Moon Alert uses Western astrology with the tropical zodiac. Vedic/sidereal astrology is not supported.

Quick Start

1. Attach Moon Alert to any MT5 chart.
2. The ticker immediately shows the current Moon state.
3. Click the ticker to view upcoming events and countdown timers.
4. Moon alerts are enabled by default and can be adjusted in the inputs.
5. Collapse the ticker whenever a cleaner chart is preferred.
