DRX Market Profile Master v4 — Institutional Market Profile for MetaTrader 5
Market Profile and Time Price Opportunity (TPO) analysis are among the most effective methods for understanding the true market structure.
The DRX Market Profile Master v4 fully implements this methodology in MetaTrader 5 and provides a feature set comparable to professional trading platforms.
The indicator automatically calculates for each session which price zones were accepted (Value Area), where the highest trading activity occurred (Point of Control), and which zones the market moved through quickly and unilaterally (Single Prints).
This information forms the basis for precise entry and exit decisions.
Session Types and Historical View
The indicator supports five session types: hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and custom. Up to 20 historical sessions can be displayed simultaneously. Each session is calculated fully independently, ensuring no cross-influence between profile data.
The display can be set to letter mode (classic TPO letters A to Z by time block) or block mode with volume-based color intensity. In block mode, price zones with high volume appear brighter than zones with lower activity. The font size in letter mode automatically adjusts to the current chart zoom and can alternatively be set manually.
Point of Control and Value Area
The Point of Control (POC) marks the price level with the highest number of TPOs within a session. The Value Area typically covers 70 percent of the total trading volume around the POC and is highlighted with a configurable fill.
VAH and VAL can optionally be labeled with price values. The Value Area percentage is freely adjustable.
Initial Balance Range
The Initial Balance marks the price range of the first configurable time blocks of a session. This range serves as a classic reference level for breakouts and continuations.
Optional IBR extensions project potential breakout targets based on an adjustable multiplier.
Single Print Detection
Single Prints are price zones traded within a single time block and surrounded by multiple-traded zones.
The indicator automatically detects and visually marks these areas. In Market Profile analysis, Single Prints are considered magnetic zones to which price often returns.
Session Navigation
Three navigation buttons (Back, Forward, Reset) allow shifting the viewing period without changing indicator parameters.
Alternatively, navigation can be done via keyboard arrow keys. The current offset is permanently displayed.
Font size and profile width are automatically recalculated during chart zoom and scroll events.
Asset Compatibility
The indicator works on all tradable instruments in MetaTrader 5, including Forex pairs, commodities such as gold (XAUUSD) and silver, stock indices, and CFDs.
The price level size is automatically adjusted to the tick size of each instrument. For very large price ranges, the level size is automatically scaled to ensure clear visualization.
Configurable Parameters
All key properties can be customized via input parameters: session type and start time, number of historical sessions, time block period, price level size, colors for POC, VAH, VAL, IBR, and session types, font and size, as well as update interval.
The parameters are grouped into logical categories.
