MultiEMA – Clean, configurable moving averages for MT5
MultiEMA plots up to five moving averages on one chart with clear visuals and per-line control. It’s built for traders who want fast, reliable context for trend, momentum, and structure—without clutter. Defaults follow popular periods (5/20/50/100/200), and each line can be independently styled or hidden. Optional cross arrows highlight when one chosen MA crosses another, plotted exactly at the intersection price with adjustable spacing.Key features
- Five MAs with independent settings: period, method (EMA/SMA/SMMA/LWMA), color, width, visibility.
- Optional cross signals: choose a Base MA and a Cross MA; arrows appear precisely at the cross point (interpolated), with adjustable gap for readability.
- Lightweight and responsive on any symbol and timeframe.
Inputs
- MA1..MA5:
- Show_MAx, MAx_Period, MAx_Type (EMA/SMA/SMMA/LWMA), MAx_Width.
- Cross arrows:
- Show_CrossArrows: enable/disable.
- Base_MA_Index / Cross_MA_Index: pick which MAs to compare (1..5).
- Arrow_Price_Offset: base offset from price.
- Arrow_GapPoints: extra spacing in points from the exact cross.
- Visuals: Up arrow = blue; Down arrow = brown; both thick for clarity.
How to use
- Attach MultiEMA and keep or adjust the defaults (5/20/50/100/200).
- Toggle visibility and widths to match your chart style.
- Optionally enable cross arrows, select the Base and Cross MAs, and tweak Arrow_Price_Offset/Arrow_GapPoints until arrows stand out cleanly.
Trading applications
- Identify and follow trend with 100/200 anchors and faster MAs for timing.
- Use cross highlights as visual cues, then confirm with structure or higher timeframe bias.
- Treat medium/long MAs as dynamic support/resistance for entries, filters, and trailing logic.
Practical notes
- Works on all symbols/timeframes; updates in real time.
- Arrows start after the longest MA has sufficient history.
- If arrows overlap price on your broker, increase Arrow_Price_Offset or Arrow_GapPoints.
- Prefer arrows only on closed bars? That’s easy to switch on request.
