Vega Gold EA — systematic gold trading
Vega Gold EA is an automated trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, designed to trade gold on XAUUSD, H1 timeframe.
Several trading modules work inside the EA. They analyze market movement, identify their own entry points and use predefined protective levels. Vega does not try to predict every price movement. It waits for suitable market conditions and follows its algorithm.
Public live signal
Vega Gold EA is monitored through a public MQL5 signal connected to a live trading account.
The live signal has been published and monitored since 21 September 2026. Its page allows you to review the trading history, balance and equity changes, drawdown, deposit load and other account statistics.
Open the public Vega Gold EA signal
The statistics are updated by the MQL5 platform. This is public monitoring of the EA on a live account, not a chart prepared in the Strategy Tester.
Plug and Play: ready for the first launch
No additional preset files or manual profile configuration are required for a standard launch. Vega Gold EA starts with SIGNAL 500 selected by default.
Open an XAUUSD H1 chart, attach the EA, enable algorithmic trading and wait for the RUNNING status. The EA will check the trading environment, restore the required market context and only then allow new entries.
Additional *.set files are not required for the standard setup.
Key features of Vega Gold EA
- Designed for XAUUSD. The trading logic is focused on the volatility and price behavior of gold.
- Several trading modules. The EA does not depend on a single signal and can respond to different market conditions.
- Controlled risk. Protective levels are used for every trade, while total trading exposure is limited by the EA settings.
- Context-aware startup and recovery. Before trading, Vega reads the available broker history, restores relevant levels and reconciles its positions and orders with the trading server.
- Public monitoring. The EA can be observed on a live account through independent MQL5 statistics.
- Clear chart controls. Key information and control buttons are displayed directly on the chart.
- Adaptation to broker conditions. The EA takes into account symbol specifications, tick size and tick value, spread and available margin.
No martingale or averaging down
Vega Gold EA does not use martingale, increase the lot size after a losing trade, average down losing positions or build a recovery grid.
Position size is determined by the selected money management mode. A losing trade does not trigger an automatic increase in the volume of the next trade.
During a significant drawdown, the protective logic does not increase aggression. Instead, it progressively limits trading activity.
This does not eliminate risk. Gold trading can always result in losses. However, risk is not concealed through uncontrolled lot increases or an accumulation of losing grid positions.
Four money management modes
- SIGNAL 500 — the default ready-to-use profile. It is intended for a straightforward start with a recommended deposit of at least 500 USD and leverage from 1:100 to 1:500.
- AUTO RISK — automatically calculates trade volume based on account capital and the selected risk.
- FIXED LOT — trades with a constant volume specified by the user.
- CUSTOM — allows experienced users to configure trading exposure manually.
For the first launch, we recommend keeping SIGNAL 500 selected. With leverage below 1:100, available margin may be insufficient and some entries may be skipped. Such conditions should be checked separately with the selected broker.
Deposits and withdrawals are not treated as trading profit or loss. Vega detects balance adjustments, recalculates its capital reference and applies the updated volume only to new trades.
On-chart control panel
After launch, Vega Gold EA displays a compact information panel containing:
- EA status and version;
- selected money management mode;
- trading symbol, timeframe and main launch parameters;
- account balance and equity;
- daily profit or loss and daily drawdown;
- risk per trade and aggregate trading exposure;
- server and local time.
The PAUSE NEW TRADES button blocks new entries while keeping existing positions under management. The CLOSE ALL AND STOP button activates an emergency stop: it closes the EA's positions, removes its pending orders and blocks new trades.
Restoring the working state
After the first launch or an interruption, the EA restores the market context before making new trading decisions.
- Context-aware first launch. Vega reads the available broker history and restores relevant signal levels instead of starting with an empty state.
- Return after an interruption. If the terminal or virtual server was offline, the EA analyzes the missed bars and restores signal context that may still be relevant.
- Open trade reconciliation. Vega checks its positions and pending orders against the broker's server and takes them under management.
- Continued position management. For open positions, the EA reconstructs the price movement required by its protective logic.
- Protection from premature entries. No new trades are opened until history, indicators and account state have been checked.
- No retroactive trades. The module restores context, but all trading decisions are executed only on the current market.
The principle is simple: first restore data, context and existing positions, then allow new trades.
The EA cannot retrospectively execute an action that required a running terminal. Server-side Stop Loss and Take Profit levels, as well as pending orders already placed with the broker, remain active while the terminal is offline.
A virtual server is recommended for stable operation
Vega Gold EA trades automatically, but MetaTrader 5 must remain running and connected to the broker's server for continuous operation.
For a live account, we recommend using a virtual private server (VPS) located as close as possible to the broker's trading server. This reduces dependence on a home computer, local power supply and internet connection, and helps maintain a stable connection with the broker.
After the terminal restarts or the connection is temporarily interrupted, Vega checks the history, restores its working context and resumes management of detected positions and orders. However, recovery does not replace continuous terminal operation. While MetaTrader 5 is offline, the EA cannot make new decisions or perform actions that require it to be running.
A regular computer can be used for testing and learning how the EA works. A VPS is recommended for continuous automated trading.
Important: test only with real ticks
To evaluate Vega Gold EA results in the Strategy Tester, select “Every tick based on real ticks”.
“1 minute OHLC” and “Open prices only” are suitable only for a quick check that the EA starts and its settings load correctly. They should not be used to evaluate profit, drawdown or strategy quality.
Vega uses pending Stop orders and takes into account the sequence of price movement within each bar. A simplified model changes the order in which entries, Stop Loss, Take Profit and repeated order placement are triggered. As a result, a fast test can produce a fundamentally different outcome, including changing a profitable result into a loss.
Use a fast mode to check startup. Use real ticks to evaluate trading results.
For a correct test, use XAUUSD, H1, the complete price history of the selected broker and “Every tick based on real ticks” mode. For the SIGNAL 500 profile, set the initial deposit to 500 USD and leverage from 1:100 to 1:500.
Quick start
- Install Vega Gold EA from the “Purchases” section of MetaTrader 5.
- Open an XAUUSD chart on the H1 timeframe.
- Attach Vega Gold EA to the chart and enable algorithmic trading.
- For the first launch, keep the default SIGNAL 500 mode selected.
- Make sure the account conditions are suitable for the selected mode.
- Wait until history recovery is complete and the panel displays RUNNING.
Before the first launch on a live account, check the EA on a demo account provided by your broker. Quotes, spread, XAUUSD specifications and execution quality may differ between brokers.
User guide
A separate PDF user guide has been prepared for Vega Gold EA. It covers installation, first launch, the four money management modes, panel controls, correct testing and actions to take in unusual situations.
After publication, the latest version of the guide will be attached by the author in the “Comments” section of this product page.
Support from the author
Buyers receive support with the installation, launch and configuration of Vega Gold EA through the product's “Comments” section and MQL5 private messages.
If the EA's behavior raises a question, the author is ready to review the MetaTrader 5 log, launch parameters and trading situation, help identify the cause and provide recommendations.
To help with analysis, include a description of the situation, a chart screenshot, the selected settings, the broker's name and relevant messages from the “Experts” and “Journal” tabs. Do not publish passwords, card numbers or other confidential information.
Important information
Vega Gold EA is an automated trading system, not a promise of guaranteed profit. All financial market trading involves risk.
Results shown by the public signal, backtests and past trading do not guarantee future profit. Results may differ between brokers due to quotes, spread, commission, execution and symbol specifications.
