Most retail losses are not bad entries. They are being on the wrong side of a liquidity event - stopped out a few pips before the move you were right about.
Deep Water marks where those events happen. It does not predict direction. It shows you where large orders have been worked, where stops have been taken, and where a move was not supported by volume, so you can decide not to be standing there.
WHY A WHALE
The chart marks large-participant flow as Whale Bull and Whale Bear, and the alerts use the same word, so it is worth saying plainly what it means. A whale is size: a bank, a fund, a market maker. Nobody that size can fill an order in one go, so it has to be worked over time - and that is the only reason it leaves a trace worth reading at all. Retail is the shoal swimming the other way.
Deep Water does not tell you what the whale will do next. It tells you where it has already been.
WHAT IT READS
Price is driven to where the orders are. Deep Water reads swing structure to find order blocks, fair value gaps, inverse fair value gaps and balanced price gaps, then tracks what price actually does when it arrives.
Where a level is taken and immediately rejected, it marks a liquidity sweep. Where a breakout fails and reverses, it marks a trap, in the direction it traps. Volume and reversal behaviour together flag spoofed levels, drawn as FAKE BULL or FAKE BEAR, so you can see where a move was not backed by participation.
Levels touched repeatedly and defended are marked as institutional pools - the places size has already shown up more than once.
The chart background is shaded by AMD session phase - accumulation, manipulation and distribution - using server-time hours you set yourself.
When several of these line up on the same bar, a BUY or SELL marker prints with the reason that triggered it, so you can see what the confluence was rather than trusting an unexplained arrow.
WHY THESE LEVELS
The behaviour this marks is documented in the academic literature, not invented for the product. Osler (2003, Journal of Finance) used a major FX dealer's own order book to show that stop-loss orders cluster and that price cascades through them - what traders now call a liquidity sweep. Kyle (1985) and later work on optimal execution explain why a large order must be broken up over time, which is the only reason it leaves a trace worth reading. Admati and Pfleiderer (1988) explain why volume and volatility cluster in particular hours, which is what the session shading tracks.
The footprints are public. Almost nobody reads them.
FIRST LOAD ON A BIG CHART
On a chart with tens of thousands of bars the first draw takes a few seconds, because every mark in the window is built from scratch. Give it a moment before deciding it has not worked. After that it only ever processes the newest bar, so it costs nothing per tick.
HOW FAR BACK IT MARKS
Deep Water processes the most recent 1500 bars by default and shades sessions over the most recent 400, both adjustable. Scroll back beyond the window and older bars are left unmarked - that is the setting, not a fault, and it is what keeps the chart light. Raise HistoryBars if you want more, or pick the Swing preset, which uses 2200.

SETTINGS
Preset: Custom, Scalping, Intraday or Swing. The preset scales the scan windows and thresholds to the timeframe and overrides the values below. Leave it on Custom to use your own.
Inputs are grouped as Display, Structure, AMD Session, Toggle, Thresholds, and Alerts and Sound. Every element can be switched off individually, so you can run the full map or just the two or three layers you actually trade.
Light and dark chart themes are both supported.
ALERTS
Optional alerts on whale flow, spoofed levels, liquidity traps, sweeps and confluence signals, each of the five switchable on its own. When a category is on it raises a terminal popup; the push notification and the chime sound are switchable separately, on top of it.
NOTES
- Works on any symbol and any timeframe.
- This is an analysis tool. It does not place orders and it is not a signal service.
- Marks are drawn on closed bars. Nothing on the chart is moved, recoloured or relabelled once its bar has closed. A mark leaves the chart only when the history window slides past it, or when a newer mark takes its slot under the per-type limit.
NO-REPAINT, TESTED
This is usually claimed and never shown, so it was measured. An automated test seeds a chart with real history, records every mark, extends the history, forces a complete rebuild, then checks every mark that sat on an already-closed bar to see whether it moved, changed colour, changed text or disappeared.

How to try it before you buy
The Demo button on this page gives you a copy that runs only in the Strategy Tester, never on a live chart. That is an MQL5 restriction on every Market indicator, not something this product does. So if you attach the demo to an ordinary chart and nothing is drawn, nothing is broken - you are using it in the one place it cannot run.
To see it work: open the Strategy Tester (Ctrl+R), set the type to Indicator, choose this indicator in the list, tick Visual mode, pick a symbol and a period, set a date range of a few months and start it. A chart opens with the indicator attached and every mark is drawn as the history replays. Step through a few sweeps and see whether the marks sit where you would have drawn them yourself.
